Re: Silver Star Theories: Life, Death, and Rebirth of Althena
It's an interesting set of thoughts but doesn't line up with how Althena has been portrayed. So, near the beginning, you ask why it's necessary for Althena to periodically reincarnate as a human. I don't think it's presented as necessity. Lucia doesn't have to do this, for instance. Instead, I've al...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?
Oh yeah, I also just finished Infinite Wealth after almost 80 hours. I also loved it. I'm curious where the extra play time comes from, WD. I did almost all of Kasuga's side quests, all of second protagonist's memory missions, everyone's heart links, completed many but not all of the games (didn't g...

Re: Dyne’s monument secret chest
That sounds like a debugging thing. Set the chest at the very beginning of the game and have it capable of replaying cutscenes and taking the protagonist anywhere.

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?
Yeah, Rune Lai was really into Phantasy Star. I'm into it too, but not to that level. Collectively, the Phantasy Star games are old RPGs, and they haven't been updated the way the old Final Fantasy games have in the Pixel Remasters. Phantasy Star II came out originally in 1989. It's grindy! The game...

Welcome back! I'm curious how you're enjoying Grandia. I went back to it a few years ago and played through it to completion. Really impressed, especially by the story, which was better than I remembered it. Don't want to say more and spoil anything.

Oh wow, a Shenmue fangame sounds pretty intensive. Nice to see so many people recognized Lunar.

@Sonic# Hey, I was talking to someone on another site named "lakelady80" which she didn't say anything, and was inquiring about which version of the "Lady of the Lake" should I read? And it made me think of your signature/avatar like the hand/arm coming out of the water/lake. I ...

I've been casually playing Baten Kaitos while traveling. It's an interesting game that feels like it has a lot of secrets going over my head. I definitely see the background connections to Chrono Cross, and I like the NPC writing especially. The only thing I have against the game is the main cast; I...

Re: Lunar Silver Star Story Touch playable on AppleTV, coming to Android very soon
Excellent. When it comes to Android, I'll be playing it. I know it's a small team working on the Touch version, and I keep hearing good things, so I'm eager to see it firsthand.

Re: Hi, Hope Everyone is Doing Well!
Welcome back! I have my own original Lunar 2 run to get back to at some point. Work has taken a lot out of me (lots of departures, interim stuff to keep up with), but I think I'll be able to get back to it next year. Disco Elysium is a lot of fun. It's one of those games I pick up and play again onc...

Re: 5 Princes of the Black Star
^ Can't speak to the rest, but the last part sounds right. Ghaleon mentions that the Black Star will collide with Lunar. That makes it something from space - anything from an asteroid to a planet. Somehow that gets averted; AFAIK, it's never clarified how in the game. (Big caveat: I never finished S...

Re: I emailed SoMoGa
That's a pretty clear answer on the first two questions, anyway. Thanks for sharing! They probably were concerned about using trademarked names. I remember TSS explicitly mentioned the trademark in the credits. Seriously, they've put so much work into this release and you're complaining about one wo...

Re: The Dragonmaster's Trials
FWIW, I don't think you're that far off saying that the Dragon Song tests are in part a test of martial prowess. That's incomplete but not too far off. For all that each dragon engages in a kind of verbal play about a specific virtue, the final test is fighting. Each of those qualities could be view...

Re: Crypto currency
^ Related to the bottom dropping out, has anyone seen crypto kiosks showing up in gas stations? I haven't looked more closely, but I found it pretty odd I'd be noticing them as the market deflates. Is that just sampling error on my part (they were already there and I didn't see them), or is someone ...

It's a good suggestion, and certainly something newer platforms like Discord have. I'm not sure emoji reacts are available in phpBB, but I frankly also don't know much about the back end.

Congratulations on the win, Maru! I've never had the collector's urge or the pocketbook to go that high on a listing. I'm happy to hear that these items go to people who will appreciate and love them. This might well be a new topic, but I'm curious what all you have in your collection now. 20+ years...

I started watching Dragon Ball, thinking it'd be a lighthearted, child-friendly anime. I hadn't watched it much two decades ago; I missed or didn't remember all the pervy stuff they put Bulma through in the first episodes.

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?
Currently I'm playing Baldur's Gate 3. I'm in the second act (I think of 3). I am trying to go without a guide, so I'm aware that I'm missing a lot of stuff (plot, quests, areas), but I'm also pleased with how much I'm getting. I've solved a few environmental puzzles all by myself. Missing skill che...
