Re: Diabetic Pets

I give him 1 unit of insulin a day, but the vet diluted it in a 1/10 ratio so it's easier to draw. I need to talk to the vet about that, because apparently we shouldn't be diluting Lantus as it's really slow acting. I test his blood, but not every day. Right now, the vet has me doing 3 tests a day f...

Diabetic Pets

Yoda, one of my five kitties, was recently diagnosed as a diabetic. He's an 8-year-old domestic short hair with gray tiger markings. He's a sweetie and even saved my life by retrieving my asthma inhaler from under the bed while I was having a bad attack, so if he needs insulin, he'll get insulin. Ha...

Re: Back from my disappearance.

Hey y'all! Oh, diving was amazing! I didn't see any dolphins, but I saw some beautiful coral, some awesome fish, and a small shark. @Solana: It's not difficult, per se, but it takes practice. You have to control your buoyancy with your breath, so it's kind of like yoga. [Which I also do!] But yes, d...

Going off the grid for a few weeks.

My husband is back from the middle east on a leave and we're going on vacation to a very remote island. We're working on getting our scuba licenses so it is going to be awesome!

Re: Okay, I finally got around to finishing this game.

I enjoyed this version as well. I liked how all of the main party members were given an added scene at some point in the storyline. I think it allowed for more depth to their characters.

Re: winged cats? origin

I have a cat named Nall. Despite a deformed heart and 3 vets telling me the cat would die within a year he is 10 years old and can jump six feet straight in the air to get on top of the fridge. He has wings, but they aren't visible to the naked eye. Yeah. Winged cats are hardy and defy all odds! Oh,...

Re: Construction Project: Home Theater

MDF is a type of manufactured wood (like plywood). It's smooth and very heavy. Quietude is just the paint color we used. And the pearl finish is that stuff they sell in little bottles for people to 'faux finish' walls with. You just paint it on top of the base coat (Quietude) and it gives it a sheen...
