Re: EBC playthrough thread
One of them is stretched? In my gif, I made sure both pictures have the same proportion. The original's proportion is this: http://lunar-net.com/ebc/screens/3/EBC0255.JPG She still has space for 2 more eyes in between her eyes. As for Saturn - PS1 difference... huh? Both of these games are PS1 versi...

Re: EBC playthrough thread
Kizyr, you won't find any differences between the Japanese physical PS1 release and the Japanese digital PSN PS1 release, because it is simply the same game discs converted into downloadable files. In fact, Sony doesn't even allow changes to be made to these games, because they MUST be 100% the same...

Re: EBC playthrough thread
Hehe I think most of these little differences were present in the USA demo too. I just had forgotten cause it's been a while.
But I'm posting it here for others to see.

Re: EBC playthrough thread
What anime today looks like what Lunar 2's animation should look like if remade? I can't think of much at the moment, a lot of animes are looking plainly colored, as in, much less shadows and just plain colors. (Tales of games come to mind) http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--I3fKoBG...

Re: EBC playthrough thread
I like text, because that way I make sure not to miss ANY words at all. But a voice acting addition is nice. John Truitt did a good job too. As for being critical on animation ... for a 1998 production, the animation successfully stands the test of time. It's 2015, and the quality in anime has hardl...

Re: EBC playthrough thread
Luckily, I've gotten a bit far! Things I have to say... 1. The part of the intro that's spoken in the English PS1 version is just text in Japanese! 2. Temzin mentioned brutal music slowdown when going in and out of battles? I've not noticed this. Maybe VERY SLIGHT slowdown, which is not the same as ...

Re: A tiny itty bit of hope!!
When Grandia II came out on Steam recently, I saw some comments that the game had some of the same problems as its old PC release still left in there, which I think GungHo patched quickly after. Don't take this info for granted since I've never played any version of Grandia II, but it MIGHT be that ...

Re: A tiny itty bit of hope!!
Ahhhh ok, you mean the Saturn Lunars and Grandia / Dreamcast Grandia II. Of course they wouldn't do that :P Emulating the Saturn has never been done before on another console (that I know of). It was done on PC though, and requires great processing power. The Saturn is infamous for being a complicat...

...the proper version? something that isn't a straight PS re-release?Temzin wrote:Sadly, straight PS re-releases are a lot easier than getting the proper version on PSN, as we've also seen with Grandia I and II. Still, it's nice to see it around!
What exactly do you mean?

Re: Lunar silver Star Harmony HD psn
But the fans might get angry at another Silver Star Story if given RIGHT NOW. However, things could go better depending on what order the games come in. Lunar 2 Eternal Blue's PSN release has had like near 100% positive feedback. Realistically, they will probably re-release Lunar 1 on PSN. After tha...

Re: I voted Lunar1 and 2 for best PS1 games!
The results are Metal Gear Solid Final Fantasy VII (Ah duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh who was expecting anything else???? actually im surprised it didn't beat Metal Gear Solid) and 2 Crash Bandicoot. I didn't expect Lunar to be top in that list, and I don't care anymore since we've gotten the japanese PSN Lunar 2...

But it just makes me wonder... how would they do the manual if they bring the USA version? Also, that's ho...

Re: MegaMan Legends - A spiritual successor!! (Red Ash)
You started MML2, but put it down soon after? Why? Yes you should go back to it! It depends though. To me, Legends 2 is slightly inferior. The gameplay is better and more complex and stuff, but............ Something about the story felt a bit off. Things felt a bit "sci fi Final Fantasy" t...

Super Mario Maker makes many of my dreams come true!!!!!!
I got Super Mario Maker at launch. In truth, i've always been a big fan of the original Super Mario Bros since before I knew how to speak. When computers and romhacks became really popular, I got to make a romhack with modified Super Mario Bros levels, which I would then make my friends play for tor...

Re: A tiny itty bit of hope!!
In an ideal set-up where I could do anything (Maybe similar to what Alunissage mentioned with split TV!) I would have someone play the USA version while I play the Japanese version... but one of us has to be fluent in Japanese, so we can catch little differences. Though there's already a page for th...

Re: MegaMan Legends - A spiritual successor!! (Red Ash)
I don't mind, as long as the story and characters are loveable, and the music is memorable, and the graphics aren't choppy or rushed, the gameplay mechanic itself could be simple and be very fun.

Re: Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete released on PSN in Japan!
Also something to note is that Sept 15, 1995 is the day Lunar 2 came out in USA, Sega CD!
This japanese PSN release seems to be a 20th Anniversary celebration :)
But why celebrate the USA release and not Japanese? Maybe they are that happy about WD?

Re: A tiny itty bit of hope!!
. For some reason we have three or four PS3s in a row under the TV, along with a Wii, WiiU, PS4, and maybe a 360  Shoot. I wish the PS4 had a PS1 emulator, like the PS3 does. Why wouldn't it? If the Vita can, why can't PS4? I understand that a PS4 can't play PS3 games (a PS3 is a huge system...

Re: Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete released on PSN in Japan!
I have a japanese PSN account. They always send me emails of new stuff. I saw Lunar 2 in the email when I had just woken up, still in bed, and im like "HAHA wow I must be seeing things!" Then I realized i'm well awake and I still see Lunar 2 there. I'm like "Is this a joke? Like what ...

Re: A tiny itty bit of hope!!
Gamewise, there isn't much point in my buying a download of a game I already have two copies of (three, no, four if I count the Saturn release). But I probably should get it to indicate support, not to mention the usefulness of having it on a portable, and not having to fish out the older hardware....
