Re: I voted Lunar1 and 2 for best PS1 games!
I also voted for both Lunar games. I'm doubtful it'll make much difference but I have to try. Lol, I won't lose hope until I'm dead. Just imagine you DON'T vote for Lunar because you think it won't succeed anyway, but it succeeds? I'd regret my vote forever and wouldn't live with myself. On the oth...

I voted Lunar1 and 2 for best PS1 games!
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/09/10/poll-vote-for-the-best-playstation-game-of-all-time/ You only have 2 choices, so I chose those 2. If I could choose more, it would be: Alundra Alundra 2 (how DARE YOU not include this gem. I don't care what anyone else says.) Brave Fencer Musashi MegaMan Leg...

Re: Grandia II on Steam, GoG
Well here's a weird case :P I have a Dreamcast, and Grandia II for it. Never played. Not even once. I just found the game once and got it. I saw it for PS2 later, got that too. Never played. Now I got the new PC version by GungHo, even though I hate that Lunar wasn't the one that got made. The Dream...

The tears are different. All of them. There's sadness, happiness and laughter, to name the 3 basic ones for example. Crying is emotinally cleansing and it's a deep experience. It can be considered the climax of an emotion! I'll cry manly tears of joy the day Lunar 2 gets treated properly again. That...

Re: Shenmue 3 Kickstarter
http://www.engadget.com/2015/06/17/an-intimate-chat-with-sony-playstation-shuhei-yoshida/ Reading the crowdfunding part about Shenmue makes me wish Lunar had a big enough fanbase. Oh, and that most of Lunar's original creators were willing to work with it. Are there other beloved cult titles we can ...

So sad, I thought he was going to be ok since he got the surgery
I liked seeing Iwata in Nintendo Directs.

Re: Lunar's music style and music in general through the yea
Aside from one track having a spoiler in the title, Alex's Ocarina is one of the best and coolest items I've seen in a game. Again, you understand me! You know, back when I first played the game, I was unfortunately stuck in Disc 1 cause it was scratched and wouldn't even boot, but later got ...

Re: Lunar's music style and music in general through the yea
I can't go into Althena's Shrine without standing there to let it play in its entirety. You understand me!! As much as I love every track, lyrical or otherwise, from Lunar I love practically all of the songs too, it's much easier to make a list of songs I dont like. But I can't think of anything be...

Re: Shenhua sketch (Shenmue III)
Seeing the Shenmue III video in the kickstarter, she totally seems like a Luna, lol.
That drawing does add more of a Lunar influence in Shenmue.
Oh man, it would be great if someone made the Lunar cast dressed / hair dyed / skin color changed into Shenmue Characters! Or vice versa.

Lunar's music style and music in general through the years.
Do the fans like Lunar's music style, mainly the openings, endings, and some in-game music that sounds like it? Obvious question, I'm assuming yes since it's one of the game's strongest points. To me, Lunar sounds like romantic pop music from the 80s and 90s, especially the Japanese music. Does anyo...

Re: Metroid Game Already Has Petition Against It
I don't know. I found the way things were in Azado to be a bit unsettling. Lunar has some pretty hardcore moments here and there. Lol wait, what do you mean? What are you replying to with this? If it's about the Dark/Gritty part, that's one of the awesome things about RPGs! They are lighthearted in...

Re: Metroid Game Already Has Petition Against It
Nintendo will probably not do a thing even if this reaches 100 thousand signatures. 5 million signatures, maaaaaybe. But their state of mind is this: If they change the title at the fan's request, that's like admitting they did a bad decision to call it Metroid. And they'll NEVER do that, because th...

Re: Are Lunar 1 and 2 (PS1) actually difficult RPGs?
The amount of time needed to spend on these games was almost insane, but we did it because we were young enough to have that kind of time. Think about a good RPG you grinded for exp points when you were young. Would you do it again today? I'm assuming yes, because the RPG is good. And you would do ...

Re: Metroid Game Already Has Petition Against It
I like a lot of your ideas. I think Metroid should keep both 2D and 3D games going, though. There's clearly still a market for that. I thought there was another old school Metroid when I first saw Axiom Verge. I'm glad you liked it! Yeah, it would just be ideal to keep both! They should switch betw...

Re: Metroid Game Already Has Petition Against It
Well it would be difficult without using images for references. Add everything i already mentioned, now add this: Imagine third person view, you can see Samus at all times, just like the classic games. I choose this over first person because: 1 - You get to see what suit Samus is wearing 2 - You get...

Re: Metroid Game Already Has Petition Against It
To me, it doesn't even have to be "metroidvania" to be a successful series. Metroid 1 to 4 (that's NES, GB, SNES and GBA) all had a few key elements besides exploration: 1 - Music 2 - Exotic visuals 3 - Fun gameplay 1 - Prime ruined all 3, starting with the music, by being too quiet or atm...

Re: Metroid Game Already Has Petition Against It
You know what's funny? I like this! Not the game, I mean the situation. When Prime was released on GameCube, Metroid died to me. That game is NOT. METROID. AT ALL. But I was alone in the world. I can never complain enough about the game, to a point that I even annoy fellow Lunar-NET members wi...

Re: Shenmue 3 Kickstarter
Castlevania and Metroidvania are quite different from one another, though. It's hard to compare them very much. I haven't played much of any Shining Force game because I'm bad at tactics style RPGs. From what I've seen, mimics can turn out fun and enjoyable but the soul is missing. That seems to be...
