Having also lived through DS incident and all its fallout, I will just say that was one of the stickiest situations ever to hit the community. I remember for at least 2-3 years after that happened, I used to immedietly break out the fire extinguisher, wooden planks, nails, and a hammer to corden off...

Re: Guyver

Anyone heard of Guyver? Its one of my favorite anime and I hear they are remaking it.. I hope they get that over to the US as soon as possible. As it is awsome. Remaking it you say? Before they butchered the final episodes (due to the company going bust etc.) I also enjoyed it greatly. Where did yo...

Yeah, even though they have all these liscenses and barely change anything, I'm glad that my sport at least gets some decent upgrades. FIFA has to be upgraded more than just graphically, because Konami's Winning Eleven series has been nipping at the heels of EA for a few years now, even without the...

I'd take Sony over EA in a heartbeat. Sony has some hardware issues and questionable approval policies, but EA has practically monoplized any entire genre of games and destroyed any competition due to their liscensing. I used to defend EA, but since I broke my crack habit of buying a new Live game ...

Ok guys, calm it down a bit. Enough fights started because WD existed, can we please try and not have one develop as a result of their demise? I'd say that a fair number of people associated with this board have had dealings with WD. Most of the more senior members have had communication with Vic i...

How did Lunar change you?

Considering the current events, I think this is a valid question to pose. Since its inception, how has Lunar changed your life? What has your exposure to it done to make you who you are today? I picked up Lunar in 1993/94 when it first hit our shores after reading about it in an EGM. I got it shortl...

I'm not calling you pompous or elitist, but the fact that you took that from my post should be indication enough as to why people took your post as preaching what people should think. And I think most of us are well aware of business and how business works. If a business goes into the red for too l...

roas, you post with an amazingly elitist attitude. Comments like "I, as said, am just a neutral observer" just reek of pomposity. You are not a neutral observer. Last I checked you were a human with feelings and opinions just like everybody else. Your posts were not merely your opinion, but were ra...

Damn, I'll just second almost every game Roas just mentioned, because that's my list too. Save maybe Xenosaga, as I haven't played the first two. And KoToR, because I could get into it. And FFXI because I'm not into online RPGs. But FFXII, Grandia III, Zelda and Suikoden are my most wanted currentl...

Possibly interesting tech that could end up being stupid

K, so, as I said in another thread, I was reading through my GameInformer for the month. So, there was a small article about a couple new techs Sony may impliment on the PS3. The first one could be very cool, but the second is possibly gignormously stupid. First: PS3's could possibly render regional...

The list is short atm: FF XII- if it doesn't get pushed back to 2007 Grandia III FF XI- Treasures of Ugt Akpeth (not right spelling but close enough) Xenosaga III- not sure if it's a 2006 release, but it has started production Halo 3 KoToR III- if they get around to getting it started in time Zelda ...

Yes, Roas, we get it. You're not bothered, it's just a business, you think it's ridiculous to be be upset because you moved on long ago, etc. Now would you mind desisting telling other people how to react and let us respond as seems appropriate without taking the bloody self-appointed role of telli...

Considering they paid for half of my college, not to mention this site (nor rpgfan.com and gamesarefun.com) wouldn't exist, I don't think it's over dramatic at all. Depressed? No. Saddened? Yeah, quite a bit. That's what I meant in my first post, that some of you, those who have been with Lunar-NET...

Okay, come on. Aren't we possibly getting a little over dramatic here? Disappointed in Sony? Getting depressed about WD being gone? I mean it is just business, and business is not always pretty, but do busieness practices really change how good games will be? Granted, sticking with principles is imp...

Roas Atrades So I am, and I agree with you Ten Thousand Fists is better then believe, I actually think its their best cd. The sickness proabably has the most memrabile singles but has alot of so so songs. What other Metal bands are you into? I'm mostly old school: GNR Metallica Korn Linkin Park (I ...

Well, as the old saying goes, "All good things...yatta yatta yatta". In all honesty, since EBC, I haven't purchased anything WD made in years. Yes, I bought Growlanser Gen. last summer, but I got it used long after it had been released, so I don't think that really added to any sort of tallied numbe...

I picked that up last month. I've found it more entertaining than Believe was, although that still had a few good tracks.

So I'm a Metal Head...is anyone really surprised? haha

What Shiva said. I also agree that Lunar DS wasn't that technically bad, as even though it had major flaws, it definately doesn't deserve a nod in a top ten worst games list, but when considering how high the expectations are for Lunar games, I do understand why it made it on. That is pretty much e...
