Oh boy, Bloodywood came out with another great song:

I really love their location shoots. They must have amazing videographer(s). KF

Re: MTAC

Is this the convention that used to be in the convention center next to the Arena downtown? I think I remember when that started up (or revived) 'cause it was like just after I moved out of the area. If so, glad to see it's still going strong {^^}. KF

Re: Lunar memes

Partly as a... no, no, entirely as a consequence of living with Jenner, I'm getting nearly all of these memes.

I think the only ones I didn't get are the anime/manga-specific ones (mawaru penguindrum, Hirohiko Araki). KF

Re: Ideal April Fool's...

Yeah I'm not sure if it's my age, but these days I'm not a fan of some jokes that I would've pulled myself several years ago. Things that trick people into major emotional investments (e.g., fake pregnancy or wedding announcements that are believable enough to elicit congratulations or concern) thes...

Ideal April Fool's...

Ok we're not doing anything for April Fool's this year, but just curious... What are the elements of April Fool's jokes that you really enjoy? I don't mean what your favorite ones are, but what are, like, the common threads or elements in them? The entertainment-related ones tend to be my favorites ...

Re: Hello everyone!

Welcome to the boards!

Glad to see someone else who started out on the SCD games (not that it's bad to start out with the remakes, just that there're comparatively fewer of one than the other).

And I wish you luck in finding that poster! KF

Re: Lunar SSS / SSSC Status & Translator Request?

I'm interested (I translated larger chunks of MSL for my walkthrough, so I'd be up for this as well). And for that matter, it's fantastic to know that Ms. Tea has been getting more progress on this. I'd want to insist on something like WD's process of multiple layers, though -- e.g., translator -> e...

Re: A New Bug Discovered in TSS!

Yeah I remember when Jenner discovered this secondhand, and... it confused me too, since I definitely collected the party members in different orders before. It may have to do with getting / not getting certain dialogue parts around those party members and collecting them in a different-than-expecte...

Re: Pentagulia's destruction

Double thank you, Temzin. I'd heard of *that author* in passing, but other than their connection to political conservatism I had no idea about them. I just checked my endgame pre-Grindery file and Lemia is indeed there. One of the biggest plotholes of TSS has now been solved, for me anyway (not tha...

Re: Finally finished this, mini-review/comparison

Yeah the outrage over losing-HP-for-running in Lunar: DS reminded me of that, too. Though the difference is that Lunar: DS had so many other very weak points to the game/story that picking out the HP-loss-for-running issue seemed rather trivial since the game was so absurdly easy, whereas with Lunar...

Lunar I+II Interviews Update

First update of 2019! Thanks to forum member Maou/Temzin, we have an update to the extensive interviews with the various creators behind Lunar in the Lunar I+II artbook. We've had these interviews for awhile, but this update makes many corrections and clarifications to the translations, including ex...

Re: Pentagulia's destruction

A parallel: there's a moment in a novel I won't name when ... Just to drive home that the suffocation has no victims who didn't deserve it, the novel spends pages upon pages describing the hypocrisies (in the narrator's eye) of a large sampling of passengers on board. Quick aside... took like one g...

Re: Pentagulia's destruction

That's... yeah, pretty grim. I agree that it was brought home a bit more in the remake (on account of the shambling zombies going around). But by that point (which was right after saving Mauri) I think the implication they were going for was strongly that the cultists in the innermost circle were al...

Re: Finally finished this, mini-review/comparison

I remember the absolute worst point of the game for me was Borgan without doubt. I just ab-so-lute-ly could not beat him. I honestly do not know what I was doing wrong at the time. Levels too low? Not having a good battle strategy? It was super frustrating. I only endured because I had already fini...

From just seeing past translation projects (e.g., Tales of Phantasia, Lunar Walking School) they usually arise from forums specific to that game. Admittedly I don't actually have much experience doing this (er, the programming know-how anyway) and I just know of ones that have done so via romhacks. ...

Does watching a bunch of disconnected clips of Nichijou / Everyday count?
