I've seen those pie/cakes on the foodnetwork before they look gross. I have always thought those were just for show. The green bean and potato dish sounds delicious!

We ususally go to my parents house for Thanksgiving. Other than cranberry sauce I look forward to dutch apple pie and vanilla bean ice cream. The day will also include ignoring football and playing w/ the dog. It's just going to be me, my hubby and my rents so it's not super exciting just comforting...

So I plugged in Duck Hunt last night for some nostalgia and I sucked monkey balls. I couldn't figure out why I sucked so bad and then it dawned on me.... it's the TV. Apparently you can't play Duck Hunt on new TV's because the light gun isn't exactly compatible w/ LCD/Plasma etc.. TV's. What a bumme...

Hooked up the NES and played some Super Mario Bros w/ the hubby today. It's amazing how well it has held up over time, a true classic. Brit what's Catherine about? What type of game is it?
