Re: A good debate

That is quite tragic. I remember doing something like that once. I spent an entire day in the field once, musing over an interesting topic until we had a rush of paitents come in from the heat. The sudden switch in focus made me lose the thought I'd had. It has been lost to this day to my knowledge....

Re: Holy crap!

Usually I recommend aloe vera to the soldiers we have coming in to get treated for sunburns. Just spread some to soothe the burn and try to not wear anything woolen or irritating for the skin. There's also another rememdy we've used of baking soda. Dissolve it in water and make a compress out of a c...

Re: Harry Potter?

I've been feeling horrible for the past few days after days and days of being out in the heat. Therefor I've not had the energy to drag myself to the theater. Also, the theaters here are pretty bad, this being a small town. I just know someone at work is going to shoot their mouth off about it too. ...

Re: Sacred 2

I had the old Sacred as well during the time my roommates and I were looking for something to fill the gap Diablo had left. It lasted for a few weeks. Then Titan Quest came riding it's golden chariot and filled our lives with dungeon crawling once more. Now, however, I find myself wanting the same t...

Re: Dungeons and Dragons

Yeah, it's tough finding people around here too. You almost need to know a guy who knows a guy. I remember my first character was a barbarian. I'd rolled 18 to be set in strength. He broke artifacts on accident and lost damn near every single weapon he ever owned either due to his strength, critical...

Sacred 2

Didn't see a thread for Sacred 2, but I was wondering if anyone has gotten this game for the 360. PC is on the blink right at the moment, so all my gaming goodies have been via the old Xbox. It's been nice though what with the romps through memory lane with Rez and Battlefield 1943. But I was wonder...

Re: Dungeons and Dragons

I actually GM'd a game of the Serenity RPG. Both characters wound up rolling critical failures on grenade throws and blowing each other up. It was good times. It's good to hear they're simplifying things for people to get into it easier, i.e. giving everyone a piece of the action in combat. However,...

Dungeons and Dragons

This is probably in the wrong place as there is a place for roleplaying talk further down the board, but I wasn't certain. Has anyone here by chance played the new 4th Edition? I'm an old 2nd Edition man myself, but I've heard mixed things about 4th. I wasn't sure if anyone here has played a game of...

Re: Lucas Arts Games Now on Steam! (Updated with prices)

It's good to see Armed and Dangerous up there, a really fun FPS that was. Also good to see Fate of Atlantis up there also, the only good Indiana Jones game we ever recieved. I am, however, disappointed in one thing. Still no X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter game or remake. Though Replublic Commando wasn't tha...

Re: What are your hopes for Harmony?

Just let it be good. That's my only hope. Let them not try to change everything and shoehorn in gameplay mechanics that don't fit in with the overall jive. Let them keep in what works and give us only more of what we wanted in the old games. More VO dialogue (fully voiced would be wonderful) and als...

Re: Transformers 2

When I first saw that the Transformers had traded in their sleek, pleasing to the eye look for one that made them seem as though they'd been hastily assembled by a one armed man in a run down factory somewhere in Detroit, I was very much skeptical. Watching the first film certainly sealed the deal f...

Re: Tetris Anyone?

Once in a while, when the planet's alignment is in perfect harmony with the moon or whatever, I yern to play old games. There have been times I've even dusted off the old Master System 2 just to play a game of Alex the Kidd for the lulz. Tetris was one of the first games I ever got good at and I mad...

Battlefield 1943

Let's go back in time real fast to a time when online gaming wasn't dominated by your Call of Duty's or your Left 4 Dead's and relive a simpler time when hopping into a jeep to run over an opponent simply to kill him instead of riddling him with bullets was fun and exciting instead of an everyday so...

Re: 3/4 New.

Yeah, I didn't hang around terribly long. Shortly after that I dropped off the net for a spell and worked tech support and got absorbed into many online games. After a while I joined the Army and now here I am trying to dig up old memories like Igor looking for parts.

3/4 New.

A very long time ago, 5 years ago in fact I posted to this board for a very brief period of time. I'm talking, back when old LEB boards were around. People here may not remember my old name of "Grey Fox" but now I'm back around again. A lot has happened and a lot has changed. So, hi.
