Re: Hello Lunar fans.
I'm MegaTuga. Weird nick? well I use it a lot and it has nothing to do with the game you all talk about. ^^ I'm Portuguese (probably the very fist one you met.), and I got to know about Lunar games about 3 months ago and I suddently found myself loving the game. Not for the gameplay (I don't like t...

Re: I'm gonna have to do a review on a book now
Oh, it's about time we had this topic. ^_^ I've only read bits and pieces of it thus far, but my strongest impression is that there are a lot of 75¢ words in it. This strikes me as strange since light novels are young adult lit and they're written in a very spare style (part of what makes them ligh...

Re: My first impressions
Well, you're still ahead of me -- I played through the Japanese game (stopping right after the final battle) but have only played a bit of the English one and haven't listened to the soundtrack. So I haven't heard Wind's Nocturne yet. However, there was a bit of discussion of the Wings lyrics, incl...

Damn, there were illustrations in the original?
Granted, I can't compare it to the Japanese versions (never having read them -- not that it would've done me much good given how limited my Japanese is), but I thought it was quite good overall.

Re: Geeze, these accidental predictions sometimes spook me...
^ Same. Admittedly, when I first heard it, I made the same confusion. "Oh, the first man on the moon!" It's a fancy series of coincidences though. Your story idea isn't that uncommon on its own, but it's funny that they went with that one, and that you wrote it so long ago! Exactly! I mea...

Re: Geeze, these accidental predictions sometimes spook me...
Dragonmaster Louie is actually mentioned in the original Japanese EB. Yes, named Louie, despite Hasukawa's interview saying that the first Dragonmaster was named Neil, whose arm was so strong. I always wonder if that switch was accidental or intentional. The reference is in a book in the Vane libra...

My first impressions
I know I'm probably pretty late on the bandwagon (a hectic life has kept me from following all the main news boards, forums, and this site), but I finally got myself a copy of SSH. It seems kind of fitting that I should get it only a few days after the anniversary of when I got Lunar:TSS, but I digr...

Quite possible... It certainly would help explain why I have so much love for the series...LunarRaptor wrote:Those are some odd similarities... Looks like you and whoever makes the Lunar games just have the same kind of minds.

Geeze, these accidental predictions sometimes spook me...
Anyway, as many of you probably know, I've been a hardcore Lunar fan since the first game came out on Sega CD (I first played in on December 25, 1993, so this past Christmas was the 17th anniversary of me playing Lunar). Back in the 90's, I had written a couple of Lunar fanfics and even ran a few on...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?
Well, Silver Star Harmony came in last night, but my memory stick didn't. :( The memory stick should arrive today, so hopefully I'll actually be able to play through it somewhat. I did mess around with the Four Heroes battle at the beginning of the game and listened to the soundtrack... I want to do...

Re: Merry Christmas!
A little late on this, but Christmas does have some very fond memories for me. Of course, this year, I was worried about getting snowed in. Now, my best Christmas memory? That would be Christmas of 1993 or so, when I unwrapped one of my Christmas presents to find a little Sega CD game called LUNAR: ...

Anything to finance the next Lunar game.
Actually, GameArts does have some damned good coders working for them. Assuming they're given a proper schedule and budget for this TMNT game, it'll probably be just fine (for a TMNT game, at least).

There's Anime Central in Chicago. You may also want to take a peek at http://www.animecons.com -- it's basically the uber listing of all the cons in the US.GhaleonOne wrote:Wow, that Nall really IS good.
Are there any cons closer to the Midwest? East coast is pretty difficult.

Re: Worst RPG
Eternal Sonata on the 360 no contest. Some of the most annoying characters ever, and the worst RPG story ever by far. Even worse than the original FF. 95% of the story is filler, and it's not even interesting filler. Then the main plot comes in and tries to deep and complicated, when in reality it'...

I actually do have access to a semi-legitimate copy of Photoshop (it helps being married to a graphic designer, although it was a copy of CS2 she got back in school and we're not sure what the license status is and if we're eligible for an upgrade or not right now), but I still prefer GIMP for web g...
