Re: I hate water....but I'm drinking it now.
On a note... I'll Never say Ya'll. >_< I really hate when people ask what kind of coke do you want. They have names for a reason. Oh and I'm drinking water right now... Fiji water is still the best! Y'all is a great word that fills the void that is left by the lack of a plural for "you" i...

It always bugs the Hell out of me when someone calls all carbonated beverages "Cokes". Call it what it is. If it's Pepsi, call it Pepsi. If it's Mello Yello call it Mello Yello. If you're speaking about carbonated beverages in general terms, say soda (or pop). Well, I used to think the sa...

I have to agree with B_G here. Art can and should exist separately from the artist. If one knows the personal history of the artist one can apply that to their understanding of the themes and whatnot in the art itself (now, that's a question for endless debate in literature/fine arts/other assorted ...

Also, women love the attention. Sorry, they do. Then why is it that they are the victims? We are not talking about rape, we are talking about something that women knowingly do to be attractive to males. Why? Because males are visual things. I'm sure if we where not, woman wouldn't feel the need to ...

I'd just like to dance in the streets now--my CD arrived today, and it's excellent! Technically, it's a four-disc set, one disc for each game. The PSI CD includes the regular, FM, and PSCollection versions of the soundtrack. The PSII version disc the Japanese and overseas versions. The PSIV disc...w...

Lukai is definitely a lot different from Ghaleon, yet it seems he was, either unaware or indifferent to his deceased liege's true intentions. That's the way I saw it. But then again, he was one step down the food chain from the Three Sisters, and they weren't briefed on Ghaleon's intentions either ...

That was cute, but the centrifugal-force one linked to in the highlights at the bottom was to die laughing from. Thanks!Werefrog wrote:Kizyr referenced this comic, but I've gotta post a link to it. It's too funny for people who don't read xkcd to miss out on.

Re: What was your best April Fools' Day prank?
I proposed to my wife on April Fool's Day, 1998. Of course, that wasn't a prank (well, the concept of me finding a lifelong love is kind of a major joke in it's own way, but you know what I mean)...
Come to think of it, the next year was when I received an offer to take my current job.

I somehow think I always assumed that Hiro would have an extended lifespan alongside her. Now, how that's supposed to work unless he really does have magic race/Vile Tribe blood (or Lucia's been studying longevity spells) I'm not quite sure. :D I'm just not willing to assume that after all that , th...

I have to wonder, how anyone could have lived 20 years ago or before, when the word "sue" was never used. It's been going on a lot longer than twenty years, Phyco. The real differences between now and, say 1960 (or 1920) is that (a) there's a lot more press coverage (and popular-media cov...

They also lose some self-esteem when they find out that what they're listening to isn't as "underground" as they'd like. "How dare millions of other people agree with my taste!? How can I claim to be better than they are if others actually agree with me?!" Now me, I would scream...

Joe, he decides to help her, or at least tag along after her, before then. Remember, she shows up at the top of the Spire and tells him to take her to Althena. And he says "She's the most beautiful [thing, person, woman... I forget] I've ever seen." I think he also offers to help her thro...

Re: Lunar Music: What are your favorites off of the soundtracks?
VGMWorld is fairly excellent for having obscure Lunar stuff on hand, both used and new (I get the odd feeling that the owner is an Iwadare fan :D ). Most of my recent Castlevania and all my Phoenix Wright soundtrack purchases came from them, so I can speak to their reliability in shipping to the US...

Utena, the original Tenchi OVAs, the original El-Hazard OVAs (yes, a show that actually resolves the romance at the end! Who'd believe it possible!?!), Witch Hunter Robin, Vampire Princess Miyu (the OVAs more than the TV series, which latter I like individual episodes of but not the metaplot), Jubei...

Woo! I'm not sure what this entails. First there was the splitting of The Hobbit into two parts, and now this. Are they realizing that sometimes book to movie adaptions seem rushed and artificial when they're done in just one part (Eragon...)? Or is it a way of getting more from a successful series...

Re: Hey, a Final Fantasy poll....why not?
Most people I know think FF3 is the best of the lot. Usually anyone who's played a lot of the series, and not just FF7, will rank many other games above FF7. The ones that get really contentious are FF9 and FFX. People either love or hate them, it seems. KF Don't forget FF8. Actually, when you thin...

Re: [Fanfic] Morhault's Fall--now complete!
And here we are in the final chapter, where Morhault quixotically decides to take his punishment like a man. You know it's bad when you start really wondering what's going through the mind of your characters. (What really bugs me on some level is that if Morhault was Hiro, he'd have managed to save ...
