Re: My cat is tripping balls right now.
This kind of reminds me of when I was in the hospital almost a year ago. Anyway, the doctors and nursed told me that if I felt any pain, I should let them know. I felt a small twinge of pain -- nothing major, but hey, I figured they may need the info for my chart or something, so I told them. They c...

Re: Mamma Mia! A production of Lunar Sprites inc.
Have you ever thought about using something more powerful than MSPaint to edit your sprites, etc.? If it's a case of not having the cash for Photoshop or anything else like that, you can always give The GIMP (which is free and almost as powerful as Photoshop in many ways, despite having a very funky...

Re: Random Final Fantasy Poll: Kefka (FF6) vs. Sephiroth (FF7)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGysxmmjjtE There you go. Just for reference, the dialogue at the bottom was just stupid stuff that the poster of the video added. As you can plainly see, Sephiroth not only stops the party from moving, but he also lifts them into the air and causes them pain. That's ...

Re: Random Final Fantasy Poll: Kefka (FF6) vs. Sephiroth (FF7)
He's not even remotely close to being the strongest villain ever. However, he's got more power than you're giving him credit for. For example, his telekinesis is powerful enough to stop the party from moving for at least a minute. Admittedly, I haven't played FF7 in ages, but I can't remember a sin...

Re: dragontribe.net
Just tried it, and while the site still looks like it hasn't been updated in ages, it appears to be back up.
Then again, I shouldn't talk. I haven't updated my Lunar home page in ages either (although it's still up).

Thanks, and I understand. I take it you made it at the source resolution of the sprites, etc.?phyco126 wrote:Cute review!
Sorry, no higher resolution. =/ Not entirely sure how I could blow it up in size without making it look fugly and pixelated.

I like it. Any chance for a higher-resolution version?

Re: Random Final Fantasy Poll: Kefka (FF6) vs. Sephiroth (FF7)
I voted for Sephiroth. If I want anyone to rule over me I would want it to be Sephiroth. He's so sexy! Kefka would smell like green poo from a dog. I'm just saying! As far as a fight? Sephy would win. Sephiroth is fast and the strongest villain ever. Kefka would become distracted. He's crazy. Now I...

Welcome fellow Sega CD old timer.
FYI, google around for it, but there are working Sega CD emulators out there. I saw a friend of mine play the original EB on one a couple years back.

Re: Bush got the boot!
I think that in Muslim (or Arab -- might only be an Arab thing, but please correct me if I'm wrong) countries, there is something especially insulting about being touched by the soles of your shoes -- even more so than in other cultures (like what Kizyr said). For example, after the first Gulf War, ...

Kefka, but only because his name makes me think of a tasty middle-eastern meatball.

Sounds good to me. But then again ethics is debatable as well. I'm Nihilistic generally so I really don't think any action is preferable to another in regard to moral value. It's all about perception. True. Except for a handful of cases (cold blooded murder, for example), ethics are not black and w...

Re: Hacked
In all seriousness I feel it's only illegal once you get caught. Besides hypothetically speaking, if I were to download music/movies/software illegally and liked it, I'd probably go out and buy it. It's always illegal (to use an extreme example, would murder only be illegal if you get caught?), but...

There's also the fact that online music stores have often been rather backwards with technology. They're only now starting to come out of the DMCA restrictions and realizing how bad an idea that was (I'm pretty much in agreement with XKCD #488 here). I mean, really, the only MP3s I trust fall into ...

Re: Valkyria Chronicles
Sega does have a long history of quality games (and even RPGs -- in the early days of the Genesis, it was considered the system for RPG fans). Unfortunately, it seems like things have gone downhill since the days of the Genesis and especially went down hill when Sega stopped making its own hardware.
