Re: Lunar 2 Eternal Blue, 8 bit music

Oooo I'm impressed to see that it's from DS! :D Good work, Jay! ^_^ I don't know how I didn't reply to this  Thank you very much! (2 years later... *sigh*) Lunar DS has a great OST. It may not be up to par with TSS, SSS or EB, but for a spinoff, early DS game, it delivers too much fun! May b...

and having to rewrite the entire soundtrack in going from TSS to SSS (for those who don't know, TSS and SSS have completely different soundtracks; not a single song was reused in any form) -- though, uh, they didn't ever actually say why that happened. I swear to Althena, every time I thi...

Re: Lunar Game Comparisons?

Shining Force 1, 2, and CD (which is the same as 1 and 2 for Game Gear) I can't put my finger on it though... the characters and type of story are different, but similar enough that I see parallels. If this had been a spinoff totally unrelated but called 'Lunar - The Shining Force', I would have acc...

There are no PSOne Classics for PS4.
Because Sony is so awesome, they don't even need classics :) *long sigh*

Gaming news that have your attention!

Is there a thread for this? Sorry if there is Anyways, I'll start. And will probably post to this thread more in the future with other news as they happen instead of making new a thread every time. So beautiful!!
Music is the most important thing to me in videogames, and that's probably thanks to Lunar's influence :D
Thanks for all your work put into this.

Re: Zelda BotW music topic (split from Game Sack topic)

Thing is, Lunar DID release a game where they changed a lot about the series that we love. It was called Dragon Song and it was panned by most reviewers. Trick facts! Is Dragon Song disliked simply because it wasn't enough like Lunar? Fans noted it, yes, but what if Lunar Dragon Song had deeper / b...

Re: Zelda BotW music topic (split from Game Sack topic)

I really, really don't think you can make any statements about Nintendo "killing Zelda" without playing it. While this is true... What if I play and finish it, and it turns out even worse than I thought? I could come here with details explaining every thing I didn't like about BotW, but w...

Re: Lunar featured once again on Game Sack

Hey jay_are, if you want to defend Althena's honor then maybe you should do battle with the guy who said this in the comments haha: The Lunar games are't very good RPGs. If you break them down, its just a grind. And you do the same -Dragon Diamond- over and over again. Repetitive as -Fatal Hopper-....

Re: Lunar featured once again on Game Sack

Lunar Dragon Song still had better music than Breath of the Wild  I don't remember Dragon Song's music much, but the music in the final area of Breath of the Wild is REALLY good, in my opinion. Lunar Dragon Song's battle theme is so good, I could hear it throughout the entire game and stil...

Re: Lunar featured once again on Game Sack

Lunar Dragon Song still had better music than Breath of the Wild  Ok. That's probably its only obvious strength. Lunar Dragon Song still had better characters, NPCs and a more creative / interesting villains and ending! "A lot of it feels like an afterthought", this is true :( :( ...

Re: Hello fellow Lunar lovers!

I find it really cool every time someone says theyve been a fan of Lunar since Lunar 1 on Sega CD :D I wish that had been part of my life before the PS1 / Saturn era. Yeah, its a shame not much else has been made since the PSP version, which itself left some things to be desired. What would you like...

Re: Nintendo Switch console revealed!

Nintendo may be unpredictable, but that's only in the sense of what they say things are meant to be. History has some interesting proof. Remember, the concept taken wrong is that kids don't care about specs. It's not that the kids care or not about the numbers and processing power, they likely won't...

Re: Nintendo Switch console revealed!

I don't understand why they would replace the 3DS in secret. Like, that would be sacrificing longer-term trust for a very short-term gain. What did you not understand about it other than the fact that it has low specs that obviously wouldnt have competed even in 2012 as a home console? (because it'...

Re: Nintendo Switch console revealed!

This is Nintendo's rinse and repeat gimmick with little in the way of 3rd party support as usual. It's the Wii U but slightly more powerful and fully mobile with no backwards compatability and paid online. Free for 6 months at launch or until Fall. Wouldn't you think the Switch is almost mysterious...

Re: Input lag with an EverDrive?

All right, I may have some experience with this, but I can't talk about EverDrive because I haven't used that before. I've used flash carts, and they run the games perfectly. Even if the flash cart itself is crappy and the game you're running has compatibility issues and glitches with the flash cart...
