Re: Recent-ish Lunar fan!
That's awesome! I had the same impression when I first played the original two games back in the 90s, and I always wonder how people who encounter the series more recently will find it, especially without any of the nostalgia factor. Since I don't have an iPhone (non-work one anyway) and don't inten...

Nothing planned here -- but Alun, how much text are we talking about?
One unfortunate thing with me also is that our printer/scanner that's lasted for like 15 years now is no longer working.

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?
I'm pretty much spending all my time playing Horizon Forbidden West right now. As a huge Horizon fan it's pretty much all I hoped for -- 100 hours in and I think I'm just under 50% done, partly because I'm spending a lot of time just going off and exploring. Now on to Shining Force CD. I'm curious h...

Re: Playing Through the Saturn Version for the First Time
Oof I really hope you are recovering ok! And that the new house / move has gone well. I'm still mildly curious if Working Designs was really working on the Saturn release as long as they implied -- in other words if they decided to pivot to Playstation and saw the writing on the wall long before the...

Welp I said there are bots on Twitter and YouTube trying to get people to buy into cryptocurrency, add to that old internet forums because this gem of a bot just showed up in the filter:

Re: Do you guys ever feel weird shopping for video games?
So for me, the short answer is no. The longer answer is no but because I've kind of curated where and how I shop to avoid situations I don't like. Before GameStop basically consolidated almost all game-specific retail, it was honestly pretty fun to browse through stores and interact or not interact ...

Who are you kidding, Kiz? Your posts are still cringy. :x Luckily I've mellowed out in my later years so I won't be banning you or giving a warning over that. I am gonna throw down a gauntlet and challenge you to more Puyo Puyo one of these days, though. For honor. Lemme just, like... regain my ski...

Nice!
Technical or maybe artistic question... Did you choose not to have the black border for any specific reason? e.g., like it wasn't really adding anything, or it would've actually looked bad in physical form?

I've... never watched Wrath of Khan... :x Don't hate me! I'm a Trek fan only for: Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (Again, don't hate me) The Next Generation Deep Space Nine I don't hate anyone for the extent to which they are or are not into Trek! Star Trek IV is a good movie, everyone loves that one...

Hey welcome back!
And I'm gonna admit, a lot of my posts from 12+ years ago are also pretty cringy. I figure that just means we've grown as people.
Hope you're dong well!

It's been a very long time since I tried playing this game again, but I remember something like thinking I figured out what the rules are, being wrong, then just picking random cards and hoping for the best. .......never could unlock much that way.

Has anyone done a "It's the year of the tiger..." version of Survivor's Eye of the Tiger? Or would that be too much?

Re: Crypto currency
Ok so a lot's happened lately. I want to say that I'm gonna address these things in a medium-length post here: Getting "into" / "out of" cryptocurrency Why big companies like Visa/Paypal are getting into it (which is misleading) How even obvious scams can linger for a long time O...

Re: Lunar memes
Split off some non-meme posts into a separate thread (https://www.lunarthreads.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6139)
We're not too rigid on thread topics but it was too much mixing fanart (unrelated to memes) in, which has its own forum area.

Enemy officers have quotes like: "I spit my last breath at thee!" I'll chase you around perdition's flames before I give you up!" "He tasks me; he heaps me!" Ugh. Oh wow, I didn't realize that Moby Dick borrowed so much from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan! Ok seriously tho...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?
I'm finally getting to play the FF7 Remake (PS4). The main thing I don't like is that so much of it, still even after 40+ hours in, seems needlessly complex. It took a long time to get comfortable with the action RPG fighting system and still sometimes I find myself button mashing because I can't fi...

Re: Saturn vs. PlayStation
I don't have much to add but, wow, that is a lot of fascinating context! It explains a lot, some of what I suspected, but much more that I just didn't know about. One missing piece that stands out, especially one that back as a kid in 1996 I had no way of really understanding, is how much of this wa...

Re: Crypto currency
Yeah cryptocurrency/NFTs are becoming something, but it's a later stage in pyramid schemes of this scale -- you need increasing numbers of people to buy in to maintain the "base" of the pyramid. So that's why in the last 6 months we've seen way more advertising, and in the next year you'll...
