Re: For Game Collectors
I sputtered for a few moments after reading that post. That is an incredible find! It's like finding the Ark in your local store! I myself try to collect some games when I find them and have fond memories of them, but it's really only to play, not to collect. My collection currently has no real rar...

For Game Collectors
I'm not sure how many collectors there are on here, but yesterday I made one of the biggest scores in rare games ever, I posted a thread on it over at http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=137831 Digital Press I found the single rarest licensed NES game (not counting games given out to co...

Re: New screens showing 4 heros! [SPOILERS]
A wizard did it. And I've always taken characters' ages to be more "suggestions" than facts. Those always cause timeline headaches. KF Yeah, and Mel has wizard aged white hair. I would think his hair would be a different color if he were only 27. Damn wizards, always causing continuity pr...

Re: SSH Merchandise
Speaking of merchandise I wonder if the Soundtrack CD that comes with NCS's preorder is packed with the game, or separately packaged.
Also... has anyone found anywhere with that screen cleaner for sale online (that would ship to the US)?

SSH Merchandise
Besides the bonus soundtrack with the Japanese version, has anyone heard about any new Lunar merchandise for the impending release?

I'll definitely snag it, I played through the 3DO version about 9 years ago and since it's in English I might as well play it again.

Re: Skies of Arcadia 2?
Why do people repeatedly hope that a new game or sequel will not be made? They're rather jaded to automatically assume that a company is going to screw up the next game. In this case, because it's Sega, their recent track record is new games in old series are traditionally absolute garbage. If this...

Re: Skies of Arcadia 2?
There is one great game Sega made recently. Valkyria Chronicles, and its even by the same team as Skies of Arcadia. They are working on VC2 atm. That team is also doing Valkyria Chronicles 2 on PSP. And apparently this? I don't have much trust in Sega reviving old franchises, it's worked out horrib...

Re: Skies of Arcadia 2?
http://newrpg.sega.jp/ Seems to have eluded everyone here, so I figured I'd post it. Sega has some mystery RPG they're announcing in a couple of weeks, and that's definitely a ship wheel turning in the corner. The silhoutte character art randomly changes if you refresh enough times too. Many are sp...

who's got an X-eye, those babys are pretty wild looking. not as wild as a pioneer laseractive tho. Im more of a fan of TSS because i can beat it in two or three days nothing beats instant gratification, but like you said there completely different games. I have two, though only one complete one (sy...

Re: Im kind of sick of people saying the first lunar was better
And yes, I agree, the original story for both were much better. :D But most people have a playstation, playstation two, or playstation three; whereas, not many people still have the original genesis + sega CD with both games. On this board you'll be surprised to find a great number of people with a...

Re: Im kind of sick of people saying the first lunar was better
You seem to be focusing HEAVILY on the remakes, your scenario outline doesn't mention the original story at all. Which quite frankly is a lot better. I think between the remakes I like EB more than SSS. But I think the best game in the series is easily TSS and the changes to the story and pacing tak...

Re: Dilemma
Part of it is also that RPGs used to be uncommon in America. They used to be a niche genre with only a few RPGs a year, and until 1998 or so that was the case. So we enjoyed what made it to the US since there were so few RPGs released here and they were generally some of the better RPGs from Japan. ...

He's from Europe, so it would be importing for him. Ah, my mistake. Anyway, I buy very few new games. I mostly buy older games or clearance games. And I paid full price for it. So in my mind it's worth it. But it depends what you like. Part of the problem is 2D fighters (outside of downloadable gam...

Re: BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger
I have it, it's excellent it depends how much you like fighters. Also the limited edition is 60.00 (but apparently only available for the initial print run of the game), it just has a two disc soundtrack and a bonus disc (gamestop.com had an art book apparently too skanky to carry in stores). It's a...

In Snatcher the code that changes the cutscenes back to the PC Engine, does that work? i could never tell, i looked for the dogs intestines to twitch, looked for the shower scene and i don't recall any difference after the code. Was there some more blood and gore type stuff that they covered up tha...
