What's your favorite turn-based NON-Lunar RPG?
Hey guys! Work is really slow today, so I decided to do an RPG post. Ever since I first completed it, I've said that Lunar Silver Star Story Complete was my favorite RPG of all time. However, since this is a Lunar website and there's a good chance that a lot of you guys will have a Lunar game at you...

Re: What gaming cables do you use?
I have an update on the systems I'm using on my CRT. I finally acquired the HD Retrovision cables I wanted this past Friday, and I already acquired the gcompsw component switch (by SuperG on the "shmups" forums) a couple of months ago. Truthfully, I'm kicking myself for not ordering two of...

I visit this site once in a while because of the scrambled eggs! They're so delicious! Lol. In all seriousness Aaron, several months ago I got really frustrated specifically with the political conversations on here. I won't go into detail on my personal thoughts on those posts from back then because...

Lunar: Walking School English reproduction cart?
Hey guys! I know that an English translation for Magical School Lunar is in the works, but from what I understand there's already been an existing English translation for Lunar: Walking School for Game Gear. I've been considering diving into the world of reproduction cartridges, especially for games...

Re: Magical School Lunar translation [in progress!]
After I bought a copy of Magical School Lunar! a few months ago, I was disappointed that there wasn't an English version, so I started digging into it. I've been working together with Suppertails66 (who made the "Unworked Designs" patches for the Sega CD and PS1 Lunar games), and we have ...

What are your thoughts on Star Wars: The Last Jedi (WARNING! SPOILERS DISCUSSED HERE!)
So....I saw the fan event premiere of The Last Jedi last Thursday night. A few days prior, on Monday December 11th, I made the mistake of lurking around on Reddit to try and find a minor leak. I found two MASSIVE leaks that everyone was griping about: Snoke dies and Luke dies. I though to myself, &q...

Re: What gaming cables do you use?
Have you heard about the OSSC? https://www.videogameperfection.com/products/open-source-converter/ I posed this in another thread you started, but it has since been improved with HDMI out and 3.5 mm audio in. It claims to have zero lag, and also is pricey but not as much as the Framemeister. I don'...

Re: What gaming cables do you use?
Straight HDMI, RGB JP-21 to HDMI via Framemeister, or Component/YPBPR. I don't bother with Composite/S-video anymore (never bothered with RF to begin with). RGB just pwns them. Also just so everyone knows, you actually CAN get fanmade Component cables for Saturn, an ebay seller called Doujindance m...

Re: Frustrated with retro gaming prices....especially regarding the Sega Saturn
AlexHiro4: I probably should have asked this in that MSL! topic you posted and I commented on, but why is it such a big issue that (assuming it is even possible) for the Saturn Satinator to apply the patch to the Japanese disc simultaneously? You say you are a collector, I am somewhat too. Why not ...

Re: Frustrated with retro gaming prices....especially regarding the Sega Saturn
First of all, mad props for owning your own copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga. Secondly, buying games one at a time and reselling them on Ebay does sound like a good idea for most people, but I'm also a collector. I pride myself in owning my games themselves, not just the game systems. Not to mention, I f...

Frustrated with retro gaming prices....especially regarding the Sega Saturn
As I've mentioned several times before, I'm a retro gamer who has a deep love and appreciation for original consoles over emulation. Thankfully, I have a good sized library for most of my consoles (due to growing up with them), but even on those consoles there are some games that I don't own that ar...

Re: Silver Star Story Touch may disappear with iOS 11
...though I need a bluetooth controller to play anything. It lets you use the touch screen, but it's kind of impossible to use the screen as a controller while I'm actually trying to look at the screen (not to mention having no tactile feedback makes it impossible to play anything). I recommend try...

Re: High quality S-Video switch box??
I can't answer the question directly since I don't use S-Video cables any more, but... are component cables or S-Video cables supposed to provide better quality? I've never had the chance to try both on the same TV to make an accurate comparison, and everything I play older systems on now has compo...

Re: What gaming cables do you use?
Sorry it took so long for me to respond. I had a busy weekend. When you say component cables, do you mean composite cables? Component cables have 5 plugs (Red, White, Red (again), green, and blue). Composite cables are the red, white, and yellow cables. The reason I ask is because no component cable...

What gaming cables do you use?
Hey guys! As of late, I've been really obsessed with retro gaming and the best types of cables to use. A lot of people that have more money to spend than I do will invest in RGB SCART cables and either an RGB PVM, for the old school CRT look, or a Frameister, for the upscaled modern-day display look...

Re: Magical School Lunar, Sega Saturn, My Life in Gaming, and Professor Abrasive
Are you familiar with any of Professor Abrasive's work by chance? Truthfully, I've only become aware of him and his work within the last week, so I don't know a lot. However, from what I could tell it looks like there is a ton of possibility through the exploitation of the VCD port on the back. Alth...

Re: High quality S-Video switch box??
Well, I do agree that there is going to be SOME signal loss, but whether or not it's visible when using a certain box is the deal breaker. The guys from "My Life in Gaming" on Youtube did a video on switch boxes, but they were mostly SCART boxers with a few component boxes as well. No S-vi...

Re: Magical School Lunar, Sega Saturn, My Life in Gaming, and Professor Abrasive
That's a real shame. I assume the only way to play the translated Game Gear game is via emulator? Or can you dump and English translation patch onto the cart while playing your original hardware?
