Re: Dearly beloved we are gathered here today...
Well the way the Kickstarter would work is this: Someone starts contacting whoever owns the Lunar IP. We see first if they are even willing to sell it. If they are, we set a price and explain to them that we want to buy it but need to raise the funds. At this point it we might need to make a corpora...

Re: Lunar babble and conjecture.
What's your favorite thing about Lunar? I think the whole fiction is the best part. I would spend hours, just visiting towns and talking to npcs. It was a very rich and rewarding experience Favorite scene? I have 2 I really liked the scene in SSSC where Alex rescues Luna and tells her we were meant...

Re: Dearly beloved we are gathered here today...
Well at least one person got the point.
I wrote this because I feel like Lunar as an IP is dead. What if we as a community try to purchase the ip and use kickstarter to get a new game out?

Dearly beloved we are gathered here today...
...to morn the passing of a legacy. And that legacy was Lunar. I'll always miss its music, its cheerful nature, and 2d sprites. But I think most of all I will miss the rich history of Lunar. It truly was a world that brought excitement back into our lives. What Lunar taught most was that love and mu...

I've always seen vastly different looking plushies. I have always thought maybe some innovative fans have been making plushies and selling them. Hard to tell which ones are legit. I guess if it has a tag its real.

Re: An interesting read, maybe
That was some interesting stuff. Apparently Class of Heroes II will still be made regardless if the Kickstarter fails (which it did). Victor Ireland stated that if it was more a measure of popularity. Regardless, the rest of the stuff was interesting. Lunar 3 was in some stage worked on. But with th...

Yes I was talking about Vay
Apparently they decided to add their own animation to the battle scenes. As well as their own avatars. Only problem is that whoever did the art work did an awful job. From what I've seen in screen shots it was terrible.

Re: Interview with Victor Ireland on Anime News Network
I can't believe Victor Ireland got his start by faxing companies. That just blows my mind. Thanks for sharing this. I also enjoyed how they talked about literal translations vs something else. Made me chuckle.

Re: Lifetime Lunar fan and "In my opinion."
I have always enjoyed Lunar DS's battle system. But the story was weak and so was the translation. There were many grammatical and spelling errors throughout that game. Also 3d isn't new. It's standard now. Only niche games do 2d. But I think there is a strong argument that Jrpgs are niche including...

Re: Lifetime Lunar fan and "In my opinion."
I just hope they stick to the roots of a 2d beautiful and artistic game with the most important part being the battle system needs to stay the same. I'm not so sure. I think that if 3d were done right it can look great. I think that some of the current gen Dragon Ball Z games and Naruto games look ...

I always loved going to Gannon's home village past that temple on the west side of the map. The part where you go over the broken bridge. When you see Gannon's village it makes it a lot easier to see his reasons for being such a bad guy.

Re: Victor Ireland- An Attention Wh---?
I do think we should be very grateful to Vic and his team for what they provided us. His team went way above and beyond what most localization groups do, and at the time, the quality of localization far surpassed anything out there, especially for JRPGs. I do think that they went a little overboard...

Re: Alex's love for Luna is selfish...
So Alex brought Luna back to human form and caused the demise of Goddess Althena, what happened next? They both died in less than 100 years and a thousand years later, the Dark God returned and almost destroyed Lunar! Moreover, love is impulsive, it only guarantees short-term happiness so we never ...

Re: Victor Ireland- An Attention Wh---?
My opinion on this is that Vic took what was a run of the mill JRPG and turned it into something that Japanese people imported cause it was of a higher quality then what they originally released. I've played enough bad JRPGs on the PS2 to know that you can have a good game get completely ruined by a...

Re: Lunar's Aesops: some reflections
I love it when people talk about the underlying messages in Lunar. But I think we need to point out that at the end of Lunar 2. We see the return of a good deity like figure abolishing the evil deity. But I think you get different messages if you focus on either game. But if you look at both as one ...

Re: The Witcher 1 or 2 (indecision)
I own both the Witcher 1 & 2. In the Witcher 2 you have the option of importing your completed save file from the Witcher 1. The benefit of doing this is that certain characters recognize you and react differently to what you have done. Other then that, the Witcher 1 is a game with a great story...
