Re: No I did not pre-order
As far as new games go, they should only gut 1 copy that is their display copy. If you buy a brand new game from there and it's not factory sealed, chances are it's the last copy they have in the store. That certainly is the way a normal store would do it, but the ones around here are gutting mania...

Re: Least favorite Lunar 1 or Lunar 2 character
There aren't really any Lunar characters I dislike, but I voted for Lunn because I liked him the least. He just wasn't as unique or interesting as most of the other characters. I'm a martial arts guy....and I'm eeeeviiilllll! Oh, wait a minute, now I'm good again.

Re: No I did not pre-order
Right now, my biggest qualm with gamespot -- or at least the ones in my area -- is how they gut most of their boxes and I very rarely get a factory sealed game from them. I understand that they have to keep a display case for the shelf, but I often see 5 or 6 display cases of the same game. Then the...

Re: Ok, this final battle is ridiculous (never mind!)
I've always hated battles like that. There is one in Star Ocean 2 where you have to fight some guy in the arena (I think his name is Dias) and it's impossible to defeat him. Such bosses should be made ultra-powerful so that they can wipe out your party quickly and not give the illusion of being beat...

Lunar is the solution. If everyone buys a copy, there will be a seq....AHEM!...the economy will be fixed.

Re: To Play or Not to Play
The Grandia II port on the PS2 suffers as well, but overall it's much better than what was done with Grandia. Of course being a Dreamcast owner I have the best version. *hugs Dreamcast* Are we talking about the same Grandia series here? The PS2 port of Grandia 2 has animation so slow and choppy tha...

Pleased to make your aquaintence. Eternal Blue is, indeed, a great game. I played the PS1 remake years ago and I'm now doing myself the long-overdue favor of playing the original.

Re: Played the Demo
I remember that old SF2 commercial that showed a copy of the game sitting on a shelf beside a copy of Mortal Kombat. Blanka's hand comes out of the SF2 box and crushes the MK box to indicate that SF2 is superior. I can understand why modern copyright law wouldn't allow stuff like that, but not even ...

I played most of those games. Some of the other non-Lunar games I liked were Suikoden 1&2, Final Fantasy 6-9, Chrono Cross and Star Ocean: The Second Story.

Re: So, how did everyone discover Lunar?
A friend of mine in middle school got SSSC. Years later, in high school, I finally got my own Playstation and both SSSC and EB. The same friend also introduced me to Grandia, Xenogears, and Suikoden. He's more or less completely responsible for my current taste in RPGs. Sounds like a very good frie...

Re: Oh My God, everyone is going to want to play this game!
Generally those "images" are the worst case scenario. I think they do that to scare the life out of anyone, and have people become life long virgins. I suspect that some of the people in such pictures also have aids, which allows the less severe diseases to manifest themselves more severe...

Re: Favorite anime
During my late teens, I was really into Ranma 1/2. The first season had a different animation sytle and a continuous story, so it was awesome. After that, most of the episodes quit being related to each other and the series deteroirated into a bunch of random gibberish.

Re: Valentines Day.
I don't really make a big deal out of V-day. To me, it's just another cash-in holiday for the big companies. It reminds me of an old gf who complained I didn't spend enough on her presents. After I finally got enough common sense to dump her, she made on-and-off attempts to contact me for a year aft...

Sega Freaks Cards?
I was looking over my copy of Magic School earlier tonight and a little packlet of collector's cards featuring the main characters fell out of the instruction booklet. They have a label on them that says "Sega Freaks," so does this mean that other Saturn games came with such cards in Japan...

Re: Victor Ireland + Sunsoft = Profit?
A new Blaster Master was released on wiiware today. I hear it's one of Sunsoft's most popular series, but I've never tried it. Now that they have the rights to the Xak series, maybe they'll release a game from it. I've always liked Ys and it looks similar.

Re: How Successful does Lunar SSH need to be?
I've wondered that myself. While I'm looking forward to Harmony, that's what worries me about all the remakes. If Game Arts keeps making remakes of SSS, with sales getting worse with each iteration, the series could come to a halt before a sequel is ever made.
