How do you pronounce Nausicaa? I most often say "Naw-sick-uh"... is there another way? Nowsickuh? I don't know how people into manga/anime pronounce it, but my English teacher said na- sic -ah-ah. Edit: The one time I don't preview my post I screw up the image tags. >_< As Sonic said, the way manga...

alun and rune: I didn't say that it's the job of a reviewer to try to force themselves on others. I think you guys are mainly angry with the style of reviewers more than the purpose though. See the comment before mine. He was upset that people will read negative reviews and then make the decision to...

Man, I wish I had time to read more manga, but I've had to do so much anime viewing for animedistrict.com. The last one I read and finished was Nausicaa, the most mispronounced anime/manga of all time (including the actual dub of it). I'm in the middle of GTO, Fruits Basket, Hellsing, and Berserk ri...

1up staff has been encouraged to deflate their scores the past year or so by their head editor folks. It's their way of "using the entire scale", but the way I see it is if reviewers have to put disclaimers in their blogs every time they link to their reviews, there's probably a problem in how the s...

I keep my SP around for, among a few other things, old school GB Tetris. AFAIK, Xenosaga III is set for PS2 and it is supposed to be the end of the series. Currently, only Xenosaga I + II has been announced for DS. If that combo does well and Xenosaga III also does well, you might see III on DS as w...

Meh, I think I typically agree with reviews for things like fighting games, racing games, FPS, and, well, pretty much anything that's not a role-playing game. I always find that I like RPGs way more than the reviewers, mainly because I always enjoy little fantasy story-driven excursions. I've absol...

That's only one possibility of an infinite number for post-EB. It is your argument that Lucia is a goddess, so it's possible she could choose to live and die as a human, no? Your initial response would be that then she is ignoring her purpose. But I would then submit what I mentioned in a different ...

Actually, that's an interesting question...why a baby White Dragon but not black, given that the Black Dragon is a lot further gone than Quark? Perhaps because the party doesn't talk with the Black Dragon and so the poignancy isn't there. Still, that's an interesting thought. Well, the four dragons...

Yeah, one should always read a review. The words should always tell a true story while a score has a plethora of problems, including interpretation as this thread has shown. But what a reviewer writes should be clear enough for you to determine if the game is for you. That's what I try to do when I ...

Listen beotch, (just teasing ) I wasn't intending to be cocky, but give a general observation of Joe Public, along with my own. It honestly, is not an ergonomic design. If it is comfortable, thank God. When people see that controller, they will see it as awkward, and unusual. Perhaps it may interes...

To be fair though, games rarely get 1-4 on a 10-point scale. ^^ It generally only happens with something truly atrocious. A score of 7 seems to be the borderline that will make people wonder whether or not they should buy it (unless they're die-hards). So in that sense, a 7 is "good, but nothing sp...

Venting, writing things down for later use, formulating ideas, asking for opinions... anything like that. If someone includes the site in their cover letter, ...
