Man I gotta start playing my stack of backlogged games... and stuff I've been meaning to go through a second time. I think that's around 4-5 games... - Tales of Phantasia (PSX) - Lunar: Magic School - Lunar: Eternal Blue (Mega CD) - Tales of Destiny (PSX, import) Hm... then there're the other games ...

It's been out of production for ages and really hard to find in used game shops... anywhere. Unfortunately, your only bet is to regularly check eBay and see if on the off chance someone is selling it. Most anyone who ships to the US also ships to Canada, so you don't have to worry about that. But I'...

Hey Danni!

Say what's the deal with using a new name? I'm sure your old one should still be in the system. Unless of course you prefer this one.

Good to see you back, though. KF

Ah, it's been a real long time since I played EBC for the Saturn.

I may get through the Japanese original EB for Sega CD (Mega CD) this summer. I'll see if it says anything there. KF

It seems good. KF

.but if that's the case, then why did a local tell me Meribia is named after Mel? And does it say the same in the japanese versions? It's not making much sense to me. Can you tell me about where you remember that being said? That is, which game and by what person? I can look back through if I get t...

I hate when they romanize things that way... They should just romanize them as they're pronounced, yeesh. Edit: On second thought, how they're written. I hate it when people write konnichiwa... Right... romanization is only meant to convey Japanese sounds in Roman script. It looks ugly if it's used...

Mel and Meribia aren't related names. There's no possible way Meribia could've been named after Mel. It might look like that if you're just giving a surface glance at the phonetics, and assuming that there's always an L-R mixup. Reality is, there's no possible way that the city name is derived from ...

The theory I've come to from all the text (TSS, SSS, and the SSS novels) is that Mel is the one who turned Meribia around from a semi-anarchical state regularly plundered by pirates into an orderly city. In that way, he made Meribia what it is today and 'founded' it. It must've already been a large ...

I don't think the Lunar: Legend guide would help any. The spell names might be different or written in a different script. I'm still not sure if you mean the Sega CD game, or the Saturn game. Either way, if you can screenshot some of the spell lists then I'll give you a spot translation, but I don't...

The Lemina Bug is sort of a debug code you can fiddle around with by levelling up someone's magic, then switching back to a previous character with fewer magic slots. It's actually a bit complicated, and there was a lot of excitement when it was first discovered. Eventually the bug yielded a few ite...

...Alun, I think you can knock it off already. Give him the benefit of the doubt; not everyone who mentions the Dark Scimitar is looking to revive a flamewar. Considering that all that's years past, there's no justifiable reason to avoid discussing it, especially since the events surrounding it are ...

Expect it in September or October. It's very unlikely that it'll be out here in July. The announced date is likely an error (one of several) that no one has bothered to update yet. KF

Thanks but, uh, I can't understand what you're saying.
I mean, I'm really trying, but I can't. Like, put some periods and spaces in there or something to make it legible. KF
