I mean, why the hell does one think they have to kill children and other civilians? Why not just target our military? I just don't get why there are such radicals in not just islam, but other religions and ethnic groups as well. Because the "infidels" must die, no matter what. It doesn't ...

Sorry, I didn't notice this thread until now. I've written probably about 90% of everything that's been written about the Lemina Bug, both on this site and on GameFAQs. And yes indeed, I got all of the inaccessible weapons using the Lemina Bug. It's not worth it as far as gameplay goes, because the ...

If she doesn't win she can hack up the judges! She came in second place, so I guess they'll be spared. Miss Puerto Rico came in first. Uh... if it was down to those two, I would have to go with Miss Japan. I can't help but think that the judges were like "omg cleavage!!" in their final de...

Miss Japan the Samurai

I think some of the anime fans and Japanophiles here will find this amusing. The Miss Universe competition is currently underway, and Miss Japan, Kurara Chibana, wore an interesting national costume: <img src="http://static.flickr.com/72/196721303_c1b60f0b72.jpg?v=0"> More photos here: m m

Why not just use the word 'altruism'? I agree; why not? It's a perfectly fine word to describe selflessness. I myself use "agape" because it is a sacred word to Christians in particular. It is used many, many times in the Gospels, though it is usually translated as "love".

LOL, Animals or human.... Tell me this what defines a human? Charactristic traits? Values? Intelligence? There is an ancient word: agape, pronounced ah-gah-pay. It means selfless love; charity. I would say that anyone who practices agape is a human being. As for equality, Thomas Jefferson said it b...

See Above, boys are here to spread their seed, deep down on the primal level they see you only as a moving uterus with which to inject their sperm. This is completely correct. Is it an accurate representation of the animalistic nature of men. Every man is both animal and human, and unfortunately ma...

For instance, if the FBI chose to violate the 4th Amendment, it would still be a violation of the victims' constitutional rights. There's no fear of a group of Congressmen committing unwarranted search and seizure, the fear is of other governmental bodies doing so. Of course; that's why the 4th Ame...

What exactly is the law regarding prayer in schools BTW? The decision of the Supreme Court in Engel v. Vitale (1962) stated in part: " We think that by using its public school system to encourage recitation of the Regents' prayer, the State of New York has adopted a practice wholly inconsisten...

Tsk tsk. You know, there are plenty of countries in the world that had wonderful stability, until one little religious spark in the government ended up causing civil war, genocide, and massive instability for the entire region. Just to make sure I have this right - Your point of view is that religi...

I'll assume that you wrote this before reading my apology. I did indeed. I am quite zealous in the defense of my faith. Attacks on my religion based on facts are one thing. But attacks on my religion based on lies make me very grumpy. I apologize as well, for I seem to have made you a victim of my ...

!Dios mío! It's not an accurate description. That's the problem. It's the same thing that you are upset at Brown for doing: misrepresenting a religion. It's an accurate description, as I explained. If you choose to ignore the facts, that's up to you. If The Da Vinci Code is anti-Catholic, you're an...

Someone else already tried to explain this to you. Condescending attack noted, and ignored. They believe that the God of the Old Testament is evil. But they believe there to be a second God-- Jesus-- to be the true God of mercy and compassion. Actually, no, they don't. They believe Jesus to be a hu...

I had no problem discerning that the names of the orginazations are real and that all Brown did was paint a picture of an old idea. Not exactly. Dan Brown combined a bunch of old false history with some new false history of his own creation to create his version of reality for the novel (which he p...

Religion in government just causes retarded problems. It didn't seem to cause any problems inbetween 1776 and 1962. One of George Washington's first acts as President of the United States was to call for a national day of prayer to give thanks to the Creator; his "Thanksgiving Proclamation&quo...

I read this review and it just seems like another person blowing TDC out of proportion. If people blindly believe something in a work of fiction (whether it be this or anything else) then that is foolish and no one's fault but their own. And yet thousands of people are blindly believing this work o...

In case anyone is interested, Catholic film critic Steven Greydanus does a good job of explaining why a lot of Catholics are upset by this movie:

I must of missed it JWL but where on Dan Brown's website does it say that he is a gnostic? I searched but I didn't see it stated anywhere. Thanks. Dan Brown considers himself to be a Christian, however, his ideas largely come from the gnostic gospels. These are also called the "apocryphal gosp...

I find that most of the time when he is saying something very stupid or intentionally offensive, he's trying to publicize his comments. I haven't noticed that, but it may be true. However, Robertson clearly doesn't control NBC, yet they're repeating his comments anyway. I just don't get why the med...
