Re: America's favorite serial killer: Dexter
I -Fatal Hopper- love Dexter. A serial killer killing other serial killers exclusively? What's not to love?

Re: Favorite anime
There was a post like this a while back where I went into some genre specifics and gave huge plot synopsis and the sort... But I'm not feeling up to that right now so Ill just drop a few titles that I can recommend wholeheartedly. I don't have a favorite per se, that's impossible considering how man...

Re: 9
I thought it was mediocre. Seemed kind of rushed considering how short it was and forcing the message that it did. Good action and brilliant animation though. I'd give it a six. Not amazing, but certainly not horrible either.

Oh wow, the Phoenix Wright musical is awesome! There's all sorts of excellent musical adaptations over in Japan. I'm a huge anime fan, and with all honesty, despite my morbid sort of attitude, I've always loved Sailor Moon. They had an incredibly long span of Sailor Moon musicals called Seramyu. I'v...

Re: Japanese voice actors have nothing on English voice actors
Eh, I think Dragonball is a bad example. That type of voice acting is unique apart from many either Japanese works. I'm a huge anime fan and usually prefer subbed voice acting as opposed to dubbed, though the dubbing is also usually spectacular. I think a good example would be Gurren Lagann. While t...

Ponyo!
So, Hayao Miyazaki has made a new flick, and I got to go see it with a handful of friends yesterday... ... ... It was adorable. :P Definitely a film directed more towards children as opposed to Mononoke, but the story was cute and it was overall an excellent watch. I'd give it an 8/10 or so. Stunnin...

Well with a PSP hand held I'm sure you could travel somewhere and leech wifi off of like, a coffee house or a university if you needed to download something.

Unfortunately constant contact with the Dragonship Destiny and its alien magicks has made Mr. Hiro sterile... Sucks.Theta wrote:So where does that leave Hiros kid?

Re: Cosplay Prop
How would you have made the prop Miri? I've seen your stuff and it's obvious you're a veteran. I chose wood this time around just because I'm experimenting with all the different resources. I tried insulation foam and fiberglass cloth, but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get a smooth surface.

Re: Cosplay Prop
Indeed, keep it up! Is that a solid piece of wood? Three pieces. I cut out one piece that was the entire length and shape of the sword, and two more for just the hilt. Then, I glued the slabs together, clamped it so it was secure, and sanded it so all the pieces conformed with one another. Next tim...

Cosplay Prop
So, being a die hard anime fan who frequently regulars conventions, I feel as though I am pretty much expected to cosplay. Because of this, I have been practicing with several different props, one of which is the sword of Althena. Honestly, Im pretty horrible at it all so far, but this actually ende...

Re: Dungeons and Dragons
Ah, D&D. I played once with some friends ages ago, like, six or so years I think? It was a blast. Id love to pick it up again, but I cant find anyone to play with. I remember we plotted out a prestige class for me, a drow warrior deemed the "Assailant of the Underdark". Good times.

...is awesome. I picked it up yesterday, and it's amazing. Im a huge boxing fan and they have all the greats from the golden age; Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Leonard, etc. The engine is awesome, the AI is brilliant, and overall it's just a great game. Definitely recommended.

Ungh, I want to go so effin' bad. Im confined to Minnesota because my anime posse isn't willing to travel out of state for a convention. But Im starting to breach their defenses... One of these days... And it sucks because Im pretty much the biggest anime nerd in the world damnit...
