Re: Finally Bought It
Aha, I've had it too and I haven't even put it in my NDS yet. I grabbed it for a good price, but all the reviews didn't have me too excited to play it and it has gathered dust since. I just hope it doesn't collect as much dust as Lunar Legend, because I also bought that and never played it. Then again, I no longer own a GBA or a NDS. I sold my GBA for an SP; sold my SP for a NDS, sold my NDS for a DS Lite, and I sold my DS Lite for a DSI XL. DSI XL isn't out in America though, so I have no NDS to play Dragon Song on.
As for Lunar Legend, I did play it a little, but I was turned off by its inferiority to TSS and SSSC. Its lack of Working Designs was a turn off too. =/
I'll have to give it a shot again at some point though. I think my pops still has a GBA SP.
But eh, wrong forum to be bringing up Lunar Legend.
Dragon Song, on the other hand, I remember seeing screenshots and thinking it looked like Genso Suikoden. At the time, it bothered me, because I missed the cute look of the games of old. I promise to give Dragon Song another chance as soon as I get my DSI XL. Maybe the bigger screen will make it a better experience.

Re: Finally Bought It
Well one good thing Dragon Song has over Lunar Legend is a better soundtrack quality, and some decent tracks to boot. The game really isn't going to feel like Lunar at all, but if you involve yourself enough you can make it through.
You got the game at a great price, and you didn't go out and buy an original DS like I did for the damn game. Well at least I got Mario 64 as a bundle item.

Bah, don't expect too much and don't compare it to other Lunars. Aside from few annoying flaws, its not going to be that bad

Re: Finally Bought It
Haha, I'm hoping I won't all out hate it. I did like Lunar Legend for what it was, Though I've heard Lunar DS is rather miserable around the boards here. (I never gave it much attention because I hadn't bought the game yet.) I've only had time to make it to Perit Village so far. My main concern is the HP dropping while running. That's no fun. X_x And I'm afraid the battle system is going to kick my butt. If you guys have any advice on how to make this game a little more bearable to get through, I'm all ears.

Re: Finally Bought It
I only played the Japanese release, so you're already better off since you can speed up battles. (How did JAM forget that turn-based fight sequences need to be as streamlined as possible??) The further you get in the game, the less HP loss while running will effect you. When you run into the Termite monster, farm it for cards. Try to always have Termite cards - the less equipment gets broken on you, the happier you'll be. ^_^LuNaRtIc wrote:My main concern is the HP dropping while running. That's no fun. Re: Finally Bought It
I'm a massive, huge, hardcore fan. However, despite owning the game since it was released, I have yet to unwrap it, play it, or anything. I refuse!

Well I'm sorry, but as a non-player you'll never have the right to critique it or have an opinion on it.

It's not necessary to be so vulgar. Please refrain from that in the future. Thanks. KF
