Text-only version of Walking School walkthrough?

I'm considering making an ASCII version of the Lunar: WS walkthrough for GameFAQs use. It'll be limited by comparison to the one on LunarNET (due to lack of images), but sufficient to get through the game.

Any thoughts? KF

I voted no, just because I'm really excited about the Saturn Magic School walkthrough, and I'm not exactly keen on the idea of you starting other new projects before that.

I voted Yes. only because more ppl will find it. Alot of ppl use GameFAQs. and you could always link to LunarNET

Sure, for the reasons Sadrin mentions. You can always include a link to your full walkthrough with pictures at LNet.

But yes, after the MS walkthrough. Actually, at first I thought this was about a text-only MS walkthrough, which I'd be OK with too... seems like it shouldn't be that hard to distill down from the full one after you finish that. Or maybe in that theoretical future when I actually play things like the WS walkthrough I can try typing up a text-only version as I go.

I'm trying to put together a program/macro routine that'll automatically convert the walkthrough into the ASCII text format I want--including those indentations of all the storyline elements.

I think I'll want to do the same thing for Lunar: Walking School later on. I realized that neither game has a decent walkthrough at GameFAQs. KF

G1, you've had problems submitting stuff to GameFAQs before, right?

If for any reason they don't want to accept this one, though, I'll probably just not bother with re-submitting. This is already the first hit when you Google "Lunar Magic School" or any variant thereof; they'd need the walkthrough, not the other way around. KF

Ok, the Magic School walkthrough's been put up at GameFAQs.

Although, I still greatly prefer that people use the one here at LunarNET. KF

Anyone who clicks on it will see LunarNET's url to the guide plastered all over the top part of it, so I'm sure most people with brains will go to the HTML guide instead. It's easier to follow using the HTML guide anyways, rather than a giant text file. But it is nice to have it there, if only for the fact that it's the first place people check for FAQs and guides.

Well, time to try and put one together!

But... after spending so long getting the format of the MS walkthrough down right, I kind of don't like the 'older' look of the WS walkthrough. I might try and update that as well.

No rewriting, though. Just organizing things a little bit better. After that I'll go ahead and make a txt file to submit to GameFAQs. KF

I realize I'm kind of late on this, and I apologize for a late post. The text-only guide would be awesome, and I hope Gamefaqs accepts it, but another alternative that might be good would be an illustrated pdf file. That way it could be just as convenient as the html one, but you could use it even when offline.

No matter what route you go with it, thank you for making this game more accessible to us.

Ah, I haven't been here in so long, but I just wanted to thank you for the full walkthrough. I've been meaning to pick the game up again after my Saturn's batteries had died, but this has got me motivated again. I'm so happy with everyone that's contributing to this game as of late!
