Will it ever arrive?

Post by Althena's_Courtier »

May be it will...Maybe it won't, but now see this!  ( . ) ( . )

This is a false title. It may or may not come out of Japan or whatever country Lunar hails from....

You guys are funny!
But, IGN.com says that LUNAR 3 should be out around December 2005.
Even though I find it unlikely.
I'd give it about one more year.

They've been saying that for...how many years now? I'm pretty sure that Dec 05 date is way old. Still, if Lunar DS does well, maybe there will finally be some impetus to do Lunar 3.

I highly doubt that it will be successful for 2 reasons.

1. I don't recall L:G having "Final Fantasy" in the title anywhere.

2. L:L didn't do too hot, from what everyone appearantly said at least. Though I might still be confused (from when people said it did good, to said I was crazy to ever think that, etc etc etc)

I don't think anyone genuinely expected Lunar Legend to do fantastically well. It was a remake of a remake. That's not exactly the stuff dreams are made of.

It did as well as it needed to. It wasn't bad sales, but I could have sworn hearing something about it turning profit for Ubi.

If Lunar 3 ever arrive that early then it will be at E3 but if it isnt there then we all have to wait another 5 years...

The fact that new Lunar games are still being made is reason enough to keep the hope alive.

Another 5 years?

...most of the old fans here have been 'expecting' it since 1996. KF

lol I was just joking with that, but if it doesnt show up at E3 then dont have your hopes up around Q4, Maybe another 1-2 if 3 years. Depend If they are even at devlopment.

No, they're not still doing Lunar games. Ubi published Legend and is the name associated with the new game, so WD wouldn't be doing that either. I don't think they've expressed any interest at all in the DS anyway.

None whatsoever. In fact, Vic explained why he wasn't interested in the project at the WD forums.

Which I can't say I totally agree with personally. I do understand his reasoning though. It's risky. As much as I love Nintendo's innovation, the downside to it is that games won't be made available for both the PSP and DS. Games will have to be uniquely made for the DS due to the touch screen. This could work to their favor, if companies like the system, but on the flipside, it could be their undoing if companies put their games on the PSP, as ports will never be made. It's another reason the Revolution both interests and worries me. Nintendo is trying to be creative and innovative, but it also has the possibility of keeping any ports from being brought to their systems from the competitions platforms.

That is true. It would take developers longer to remake it for the DS and that would suck for them so they wont even try it all.
