I suggest, for all these discussions about where something is in Lunar 1 and where it is in Lunar 2 and what that means for where the Lunar 2 things that are there and what they may have been in Lunar one. I strongly suggest making Meribia the center of the map, since it's a static, set, location and it's the only place that is present in both games. Then figure out where places coincide.

I remember there used to be maps of Lunar floating around online...

*sigh* they're all gone, and I don't have them anymore.

Depending on what time era the game is in, if the game is a prequel I wouldn't mind seeing another Magical City of Vane :D

For fun I lined up the Lunar 2 and 1 maps from the website to try and map out where things would be, and I've come to the conclusion that there must of been some significant changes to the landscape between the games.

Haha, wasn't that fairly obvious though? :) 1,000 years and all tends to bring about changes.

Well a thousand years really doesn't cause as dramatic an effect on land, for example Zaback mines would be underwater a thousand years before Lunar 2. Are you telling me a huge chunk of land randomly appeared in only 1000 years time?

Then again we are dealing with Lunar, where you have magic to account for. Still....

Not to mention it's an RPG. Just take the passage of time between games with the same grain of salt you take the characters' ages. :P

Plus, either Kiz or Shiva had mentioned that somewhere in SSH they talk about the Blue Spire in a desert far in the west, beyond the sea.

And even then, if we actually allow DS to be part of Lunar canon, the changes between Lunar 1 and 2 are nothing compared to the massive land changes between DS and Lunar 1.
