New Smilies

Post by Arlia »

You know, it's be cool to have Lunar-themed emoticons for this forum. It's pretty much the best Lunar forum on the net.
I'm sure a variety of poses and sprites from the games could be used. Like one of those monster eyeball things puking could be a "sick" emoticon, or Luna dancing when she's confused (as opposed to victory dance), Leo wagging his ears, you know, those kinds of things.

I think'd be really awesome and would add something if any admins are up for it.

I don't know a lot about the code behind the board, but I do rather like this idea. Though, the one major down-side is that it'll be a bit difficult to make recognizable icons that are the same size as the original ones--you don't want the line-spacing to go all weird just by inserting a " :) " somewhere.

Insydius/G1, do you know how easy it'd be to do custom smilies? Is it just a matter of uploading several images and changing an option, or would it require some coding changes? KF

Adding them is easy, just upload them and create a custom name i.e. :wink; show as , question is who's gonna draw them up?

I could work on some, but it'll take some time. I suppose anyone who wanted to could. I'll try it if it's okay with everyone, and post when I get some ready. It shouldn't be too long.

I could give it a try. I made some dragon smileies for an old fourm I had (still have but havn't used in years).... Depending on how the board's smiley images work it shouldn't be hard to change them...

If someone else wants to try, you should know that we reserve the right not to adopt them... Sorry. KF

Hm.. It'd save me a heap of time if anyone knew of some sprite sheets. >_<

Well, I've had no luck ripping sprites myself. I've found a few games other then the PS, but those are what I know and would've liked to use.

If I have the graphics, then I could animate icons. But there's nothing I can do until some are ripped properly.

This might help, for monsters at least:
