Anywho, I didn't mean to downplay the intelligence or humanity of the Dragons, I was just unsure of which word to use. Dragons are very wise and noble creatures and perhaps would rather be reffered to as such instead of "people" which... technically they are a "people" in a sence... Oh dear, I'm going in circles, sorry!

Speculation and all, I had this theory before (a long long time ago really) about our world really being the Blue Star and the moon being Lunar. :lol:

Seeing how cold and snowy the Blue Star was while the people resided in Lunar, I had equated it to the Ice Age... and considering all the legends running around such as the one about Atlantis, well, I couldn't help but let my imagination fly.

Thus is the beauty of Lunar: storyline that gets us so involved we MUST speculate!

I recall thinking the above as well, I was perplexed the first time I saw Luna's Boat Song, with the picture of the Blue Star behind her. I remember turning my head and asking myself if that was Earth. Be it in some alternate timeline or far into the future. EB mentioned that the people on the Blue Star had technology (I do believe) and that the people caused thier own eventual downfall. Thus the Goddess had to move everyone to Lunar. Truly my speculation came moreso during my play thourgh of EBC, but never the less I noticed the simmilarities.

I believe the scenario writers intended the Blue Star to be Earth and Lunar to be the moon. I remember reading an interview where it was talked about.

Alex and Luna never had a child because they were using White Dragon Protection. :lol:

Anyways, I"ve always assumed that Lunar was some sort of a moon, just because of it's name. And if Mars looks like a red star here on Earth, then, perhaps Earth looks like a "Blue Star" when you're really far away from it?

A: To set the stage on the moon was the very first step in this project. ...

Here's a crazy out-there speculation.

What if some the Dragon Kids at Taben's Peak in Lunar 2 are actually descendents of Alex and Luna? I could really see Nall wanting to take care of their descendents, even if it's purely for sentimental reasons.

Wonderful insight ilovemyguitar! I completely missed that one! Now that would be a nice idea... that and Nall would certantly know which folks were decended from Luna and Alex, his love for them would make sure of that. I like this idea very much, thanks for sharing!

But I've read somewhere (which I don't remember now) that the Blue Star's just supposed to be an Earth, not the Earth. *shrug*

About the kids, that was very insightful ilovemyguitar!

And, um, I commented on this earlier but I think it was missed, anyone with insights as to the markings Hiro has, which, to me, are all Vile Tribe-ish?

In EBC, there's a book in the Vane library that has a note from Phacia in the margins, saying that the Vile Tribe left the Frontier and mixed with the rest of the people on Lunar. (There's more on that in the translation to the Childhood's End manga on LunarNET, but I won't spoil anything for you in case you haven't read that yet.)

Hiro does have a natural talent for magic. That plus the markings on his face do point to at least some Vile Tribe heritage. KF

I've always thought that! I remember seeing some art somewhere once with Hiro with red eyes, too, which is totally a Vile Tribe trait. But then, several characters' eye colors (and even hair colors) have changed with different versions of art.

Unlikely. The 30 Questions with Kei Shigema interview says that after Alex and Luna died he was lonely and wandered the world for a while (several generations?) before eventually coming to Taben's Peak. I think I probably quoted it somewhere in this forum before. Don't think he'd leave Alex's and Luna's children, so I doubt they had any.

If you look more closely, Jessica's 'markings' are more so beastman-like, not actual tattoos or anything. They look like darker-colored skin / fur, while Hiro (and all the Vile Tribe, except for Ghaleon) had rigid, colored markings instead. KF

Yea, I think those markings come from her beast heritage, since I think Leo had them as well (Though I can't be sure.)

Yes Leo has simmilar markings on his face as Jessie, though his are furry-er... which I s'pose has to do with his being a bit more beastman than Jessie, since she's only half. Though I'm not all that sure that Leo is a full either because well... Hell Mel is a full and he's furry all over. Perhaps it's a male/female thing?

I wasn't saying above that Alex and Luna would abandon thier children to Nall, it was more like the descendants somehow ended up without parantage (though not ALL those children would be related, as it was stated that Nall would bring orphaned children back with him) and Nall watched over them. Though I can see the point of them not having children as you're right, why would Nall have left in the first place to wander around all lonely if there were desendants for him to stay with?Still a sad thought... ah well.
