This board is for general discussion of Lunar. Especially things such as Lunar merchandise, general discussions about the story that span more than one game, etc.

I agree. The song is pretty crappy in my opinion. She could've at least done some kind of remix of the actual song, rather than using the background noise and using new, unimpressive lyrics. (Not that the original lyrics were anything to write home about, but...)
I'm not about to buy her CD to find out, but I doubt she gave credit. Her "stop bothering me, I HAVE permission" attitude makes it seem like she's not that interested in giving credit. (And I still highly doubt she actually got permission.)
Unfortunately this is nothing more than "sampling." Countless mainstream artists have been doing this for years, P. Diddy and Eminem just to name a few. It's kind of funny how she or her producers decided to use video game music.
I find there are some video game music scores that are incredible and I'm surprised more people haven't sampled them. The same thing goes for mainstream artists' music not being used in video games. A lot of artists I listen to have music that sounds as if it would be perfect for an rpg dungeon or town, or anything really.
Kaila could have used a cleaner sounding sample at least instead of something with a gritty quality to it. However, it's possible the track was compressed to fit.
Now we all know Lucia was really a whore in disguise looking to suck out Althena's powers and Zophar was her pimp.

Hahahahaha! Oh god, that one was great. Never thought of it that way. Poor Lemina, missing out on a good deal. No wonder I never had any money to buy Blue Stars. (Or whatever the heck the magic restore item was called.)

Aye, that be them. Yeah, I liked those names far better than names that where in L:L. Besides, in both SSSC and EBC (aside from when ramus gives free stuff away in SSSC) it was pretty hard to get what you needed. Whereas in L:L I had 99 of everything not even halfway into the game. At the very end, I had like, well over 1million silver.

I'm not sure what they were thinking when they made that song. "Hey, when that song came up during the credits of Lunar 2? Yeah, I was rappin' along, so, I turned it into something." or were they thinking, "Dude, I'm really mad at some guy who loved this game called Lunar. I'm gonna get push his buttons by making this crap."
Fun fact! Kaila Yu has a part in Fast & Furious 3: Tokyo Drift. She's the "Cowgirl at Starting Line".
Don't let that discourage you from seeing it, though. It has the main guy from Orange Days (a great J-Drama), and apparently cameos by Konishiki and Sonny Chiba. That's good enough for me. KF
You know, a co-worker of mine was talking about the Fast and the Furious 3 yesterday... interesting. Though I had no idea Kaila Yu was in it, I couldn't help but snerk at her part, fitting.
After that cast list you mentioned I may have to see this movie after all! Which would make this the first F&F I've seen...
Well, the guy I really like (the one from Orange Days, Satoshi Tsumabuki), appears like he plays a major part in the trailers, but is only credited as "Exceedingly Handsome Guy".
...I think only the white guys have names in this one. KF
I've decided not to go see the third movie due to the fact that my cousin was silly enough to attempt to "drift race" after seeing the movie and was seriously injured.
Though if Satoshi Tsumabuki is in it, I might have to reconsider.

Wow, that's horrible. I hope your cousing isn't too seriously injured.
I've never seen any of TFatF movies, and unless Voltron and the Thundercats make an appearance and kill everyone then I don't think I'm going to start anytime soon.

Figures, when the first FatF came out, the number of drag races boomed and a few people died because of it.

That's a shame... So how I am I supposed to root for the japanese team? GO "Exceedingly Handsome Guy"!! Kinda long-winded don'tcha think?
Rooting for the better cast!
I love movies that do that. It's like having a movie called "NYPD - September 11th" but have it only focus on the flight that crashed in Penn. Or it only focus on the personal lives of the hijackers.

Don't reconsider. A couple of my friends saw it for free, and noticed that Tsumabuki was in for a grand total of five minutes and 3 scenes. Sonny Chiba and Konishiki had just as short cameos (1-2 scenes each, maybe a couple lines of dialogue at best). Bleh, not worth it. Kaila Yu got as much screen time. KF
Just curious, but did anyone sign up for an account like this on MySpace using a LunarNET address? I keep getting friend requests and messages and stuff in the LunarNET mail, and figured it might have had something to do with this.
