I'm not aware of any FLAC version since that's not how the files were originally stored. The best source you'll find as rips from the disc are output into the PSF format, and you can find a pre-made collection on Zophar.net here: https://www.zophar.net/music/playstatio ... star-story, or probably in better quality and already converted to ogg here: http://www.vgmpf.com/Wiki/index.php?tit ... lete_(PS1) Also worth a look are the Saturn files, which have different sound programming, some of which is superior and some of which is inferior (unlike Eternal Blue, where the PS version is universally inferior): https://www.zophar.net/music/sega-satur ... star-story Weirdly, Zophar.net does not have the far better Mega CD soundtrack for Eternal Blue, so assuming you aren't feeling like using the classic 1990s pcm-to-wav converter for the game, you should try here for them: http://www.vgmpf.com/Wiki/index.php?tit ... Blue_(SCD)

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i think requesting music is against the rules as it's illegal to download music in this fashion. Good luck with your project, though.

I'm curious whether the quality differences between MP3 and the original format are significant. Is this something that's only significant if you're an audiophile, or is there a lot of loss in the MP3 files?

It's a fair question. To mod-hat this, I consider asking for music files to be okay. Two reasons:
1. Our rules on Post Contents specify ROMs and ISOs (complete contents of games), but not individual files from games.
2. Versions of the music files are widely available on YouTube and even this very site. Someone asking for FLAC files is asking for the same basic kind of content.

Whatever rules this site chooses to follow I will respect, however asking someone for FLAC quality is not even close to the same as what YouTube does to files and compresses them and loses even 320 MP3 quality. It crushes WAV/FLAC. As for what YouTube has on its website is its business and I know for a fact that they have taken down content like that before from various games and artists if it isn't yours. Sometimes it stays up, sometimes it doesn't get noticed.

Back to the rules for the website. As i said; I do respect them, but I will caution you about allowing music files to be shared on here. The internet is getting more strict nowadays. I do my fair share of getting music :P. Same thing with Roms. The websites that have them are breaking the law. There's no "Delete this after 24 hours" thing like the 90s lol.

Cheers, though on an understanding of what is allowed and isn't here (^.^)
