Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete released on PSN in Japan!
Thanks to jay_are for the tip-off on the Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete form, we've learned that the remake of Lunar: Eternal Blue has been released to the Japanese Playstation Network! Here's to hoping for a US release somehow!

When I click on the link on the news page, it takes me to a picture of Borgan. Kind of mean. ;)

Try now. I fixed the link in the first post in this thread and it seems to have propagated to the main page.
Re: Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete released on PSN in Japan!
I have a japanese PSN account. They always send me emails of new stuff.
I saw Lunar 2 in the email when I had just woken up, still in bed, and im like "HAHA wow I must be seeing things!"
Then I realized i'm well awake and I still see Lunar 2 there. I'm like "Is this a joke? Like what does this mean? Surely this isn't a survey in which I must vote, or a nostalgia article talking about old games, but an actual GAME RELEASE??"
Super stoked! Bought it immediately. People need to promote this everywhere.

Also something to note is that Sept 15, 1995 is the day Lunar 2 came out in USA, Sega CD!
This japanese PSN release seems to be a 20th Anniversary celebration :)
But why celebrate the USA release and not Japanese? Maybe they are that happy about WD?

Unlikely to be anything but a coincidence, but it's kind of cool.

This is really exciting news! I have a Japanese PSN account (since I got my PSP in Japan in anticipation of Lunar: Silver Star Harmony), but haven't actually tried buying anything through it. I'll likely go ahead and purchase it for the same reasons as Alun -- the support and an additional portable version, if nothing else. KF

All right, so I successfully installed it last night on my PSP. I've also updated our Facebook page with the details.
So, because it is on the Japanese PSN, you will need the following to obtain it:
(1) A PSP, PSVita, or PS3. (It's unconfirmed whether this can run on a PS4.)
(2) A Japanese PSN account. (If outside Japan, then Kotaku has guidelines here: http://kotaku.com/5982662/how-to-make-a ... -the-store.)
(3) At least 617¥ (about $5.50) in your PSN wallet. (If outside Japan, then I recommend purchasing cards from play-asia.com to add to your account.)
(4) At least 1300MB free on your memory stick, hard drive, or other storage media.
...at this point I got just a cheap 4GB card with my PSP, and it looks like I may need to get a new one if this ever comes out in the US. I hadn't anticipated on downloading any games for it when I got it. KF

Despite owning it; I'd love for it to be on the North American PSN Store so I can get it on my PS4

There are no PSOne Classics for PS4.ShugoHanasaki wrote:Despite owning it; I'd love for it to be on the North American PSN Store so I can get it on my PS4
Because Sony is so awesome, they don't even need classics :) *long sigh*

I *think* the next update it was hinted around that PSOne classics will be able to be played on PS4.jay_are wrote:There are no PSOne Classics for PS4.ShugoHanasaki wrote:Despite owning it; I'd love for it to be on the North American PSN Store so I can get it on my PS4

I'd love to see the Lunar series hit the PSN. Wonder if they could do an update to finally add the Star Dragon Tower theme in. :p I know, not likely but one can dream! Hell, there are a LOT of the old WD translated games I'd love to see on either PSN and/or Steam. (Popful Mail!) Maybe NIS could do a Falcom classics compilation or something!

Hinted?? That's impossible XD Sony is SOOO against PS1 on PS4 I lost hope.ShadowAce wrote:I *think* the next update it was hinted around that PSOne classics will be able to be played on PS4.jay_are wrote:There are no PSOne Classics for PS4.ShugoHanasaki wrote:Despite owning it; I'd love for it to be on the North American PSN Store so I can get it on my PS4

Would love for that to happen though.
Lunar could be on the PSN store if they re-coded the entire game and sold it as a retro styled PS4 game. *sigh*

Hey jay_are and ShadowAce, you need to uncheck the "Disable BBcode" box for your quote tags to work.

What if... Lunar: Eternal Blue got an HD Remaster in the vein of Grandia I & II
This also applies to Lunar: Silver Star Story.
