I think some of the anime fans and Japanophiles here will find this amusing. The Miss Universe competition is currently underway, and Miss Japan, Kurara Chibana, wore an interesting national costume:

Meh, if it was anime she would be cuter and have a far bigger chest. Though she is still cute

. Actually, I think the outfit is pretty cool, although it would probably fall apart if she did any swords play. It just looks that delicate.

Cute! Definitley looks like something someone would wear at a con... though I imagine she pulls it off better than the folks that would try to wear that.

Miss Lebanon is hot... and Miss Albania needs a sandwich or something...

Miss Puerto Rico has a creepy smile... to me she looks like she's had a good bit of plastic surgery done... but hey maybe her cheek bones are just naturally wider then miss albania's waist.

She came in second place, so I guess they'll be spared. Miss Puerto Rico came in first. Uh... if it was down to those two, I would have to go with Miss Japan. I can't help but think that the judges were like "omg cleavage!!" in their final decision, which annoys me.

Miss USA came in fourth, btw.

Apparently Miss Puerto Rico feinted on stage too. I didn't really think she was that good looking. I'd agree Miss Japan was much nicer looking.

I'm a guy, so I leafed through some pics of different contestants. I stand by what I said... Miss Lebanon is hot.

Heh, Miss Lebanon is pretty cute. She looks like what I would want in a girl, just have to throw in some naivitivity (bleh) and stuff

Appearantly Miss Universe fainted because she had a all metal dress on that cooked her under the stage lights. I want a dress made of all metal chainmail. When I hear that though, I think Chronicals of Narnia: The Witch, the Lion, and the Wardrobe, just because the witch wore a chainmail dress during the battle.
