Eh, my cat of thirteen years (Presh) has been an outdoor cat for many years due to her inclination to urinate outside of her litterbox. It seems to have been brought on by our moving when she was three, she's been doing it since. Now she's gotten fairly anti-social, and she still makes a mess in the sunroom, where she sleeps.
I do adore her though, and I wish she could stay in the house, but it wouldn't work out.

I have a dog that jumped out the window of the car once. We were pulling into my driveway and she was just a pup and wanted to see outside, she couldnt cause she was so small. And as we were pulling in she decided to just jump and out the window she went.
I wasn't born to fit in, I was born to stand out

Okay get this...

I had a cat & a dog. The cat was an outdoor cat and the dog was indoor. It was some small...ugly dog. Anyway, my cat got pregnant and disapeared. One day my mom was backing her car out of the garage when we found our cat with litter! It was so unbelievable. They were all so cute. Then, we discovered to our horror that all of the kittens were dead. All except one. we buried the rest.

Now...a few days later my cat was walking, with her kitten behind her and my dog decided to go outside. I watched the dog lick the kitten.

WARNING GRAPHIC DISCRIPTION:

THen, preceeded to bite the kittens head.

It was horrible and bloody.

and depressing. you have no idea how cute the kitten was.

We have since gotten rid of that dumb dog. And the cat was lost. ANd I don't mean lost as in ran away. It was awarded to my mom's ex-husband in court.

wheres the justice in that? It wasn't even his cat. It was mine.

LOL

anyway thats my horrible animal story.

Death of our Siamese cat. Her name was Tuptim. She died a few days before she was gonna be officially 5 years with our household. I couldn't sleep for days after she died. At least, until we got a new Siamese cat. Even then, I kept having tears in my eyes whenever I remembered Tuptim in the actions of the new cat Chula.

The worst thing that happened to me involving my pets is this... my first dog, a golden retriever of twelve years died of lung cancer on the day of my senior prom. I watched her go... it broke my heart. Even though it's been about four years now, it still saddens me to think about it, she was my baby after all.

:(

The only real bad thing I've ever had happen is when Buddy got ran over by a car. He's the second closest to a real pet I've ever had (he was my mamaw and papaw's pet, an outdoor squirreldog).

The closest to a pet I've had is either Cookie or Ladybug. Cookie, a dachsund, is my grandma's. She's nice, but... I have to be really careful when walking her, because she won't hesitate to attack anything aviary. When there are baby birds around... beware. As for Ladybug... my ex-brother-in-law has her now...

I had a cat that was so tame, she could just walk away with everyone. One day she took a walk on the street like usual and, I think you can guess it, she didn't come back.
Some time therefore she was gone for a few days, too, when she was found in a trashbag. in a coma..but she snapped out of it. But now, she wasn't found...anyway, I'm over it now(It's three years ago, doh). But I still wonder how she died. I think it were the neighbours..they hate cats...

 That's awful.

My mom's dog, Baby, (whom i named) was a poodle. I had her since I was 6. She was in a whole lot of pain, mostly blind and mostly deaf. Recently, my mother had her put to sleep for her own good. I live across the country and i've only been told, so it's really weird. It's almost like it isn't real. Either way, it freaks me out because of how attached to the dog I am...I can't help but wonder if it just hasn't really "hit home" yet and i'm unsure of how well i'll deal with it if it does.

Yes indeed. I do believe I was the worst date ever... as my mother told me I had to go anyway. It was a real rough night, one I'll never forget. Though my friends tried really hard to cheer me up, and for them I was grateful.

If you were in my company after that had happened to me and my mother said that to me, you'd see me pop her in the mouth.

Don't be so quick to judge. Very likely her mother was trying to get her to have some fun so that coping with the loss would be easier. And really, how can you say you'd punch someone's mother in the mouth? That's seriously not cool.

I don't really have any tragic stories like this about pets.

What I do have is my new roommate's three jack russel terriers. They're quite well-behaved, especially considering what the standard of behaviour is for the breed. But the youngest of the three has.... umm... an excitable bladder. Every time I pet her, she gets excited and pees. Every time. A couple of times she's taken it upon herself to jump in my lap, and then pee in my lap.

I'm starting to realize why I'm getting this place for so cheap.

My dad has a terrier too (can't remember the breed, but it's the Wizard of Oz one) and he also pees when he gets excited. It's annoying, but other than that he's a good dog. He's potty trained and usually well-behaved. Just don't let my dad trick you into saying something or the doggy will bite your butt.

Absolutely... my mother I believe did the right thing. I tried to have fun at the dance, wasn't very successful but I had all my friends around me all letting me know that they were with me in this. I would in fact thank my mother for making me go... I still had a lot of grieving to do but it helped me start coping. Thank you G1.

I've never really been one to care much about "cool". Also, I said i'd pop my mom in the mouth. If my mother said "i know that you're upset, but it'd probably be good for you if you went ahead and went instead." then i wouldn't. If she acted like i was going regardless of what i wanted then i'd knock her face.

No offense, but how old are you? The same deal still applies, and in fact, is even worse IMO, to say you'd punch your own mother just because she tells you to do something you don't want to do. The age-old advise applies quite well. Honor your mother and father.
