Hey, whammers! Here's the official score -- and remember, The Wham! Challenge is a pass/fail course. You either win, or you lose.
(BTW, still need results from Alunissage)

Results:
Kizyr FAILED
Jenner PASSED
Werefrog PASSED
Dark_Fairy INCOMPLETE (dropped out due to working in XMas Ground Zero - a.k.a. Hallmark)
Sonic# FAILED
WD RPG WD FAILED
parappa FAILED
jay_are FAILED
Alunissage INCOMPLETE
Shiva Indis PASSED
Kaiya-Sky PASSED
WhiteKnightLeo FAILED
Monde Luna PASSED
Hirox FAILED

So that's only 5 passed. Harder than it seems, huh?
Thanks for playing! KF

Ha. I had to youtube the song. Lucky me, I've been working and I don't listen to the radio. So I didn't hear it until I just youtubed it. Does that mean I passed to?

I made it! I'm a little surprised since my work has the radio going, I had to listen to a bunch of Christmas songs, but not that one.

Impressive! It is rather challenging. I updated the stats to reflect this. KF

Somehow I survived! But I guess it could still happen before New Years.

I'm glad to see this thread revived. I think about this every year too, and I lost earlier this week. It was good to hear the original. A cover version seems to be increasingly popular over the last couple of years, but I don't think it compares all that favorably to WHAM!

I really wasn't sure either, Alun. I have my own Christmas music collection, so I rarely listen to radio, etc. But I've taken to listening to a few YouTube playlists this year to see if I want to buy some new songs, and it randomly came up. I recognized the song. I just never knew it was the infamous WHAM! song until saw the title.

^ I find it really ingenious for this reason. It's just common enough that I must have heard it before, but it's just obscure enough that I had to learn a bit about the song first.

3 days to go. Still good. This is after several shopping outings, coffee shop visits, and lots of YouTube videos on bowling.

I heard two cover versions while I was out Christmas shopping today, but I didn't hear the original anywhere. Anyway, add me to the short list of people who actually like the original song!

Guys guis gaise gais.

All this time I thought this song was sung BY A WOMAN............ wtf?????
What kind of Mandela Effect is this?
I could have sworn this was a woman.

And guess what. He died.

My mom came to tell me the news, and im like WAIT, *searches for song since I already lost anyway*
Yeah, that one. You mean to tell me it was a guy all this time????????
She wanted to hear it. Again :(
I told her to stop cause I can't bear another listen of that song.
But now I feel bad I didn't grant her wish............. even though the radio plays it often xD

In the past five minutes, my brother in law mentioned that George Michael had died and sang a bit of Last Christmas, so I guess I've now heard it. Well, five or so words.
