Hobbies

This is just about what you do in your free time. Yoga, Martial Arts, Crafts, ect. I take Tang Soo Do every Tuesday and Thursday. I am a member of Region 6's East Mississippi Tang Soo Do. I am a Blue Belt which is one belt before Black Belt. I just got back from Black Belt Camp where I was able to train with over 5 Masters. Too bad that Grandmaster Shin couldn't make it. Anyway, what do you all do for fun?

Well my largest hobby by far would be video games. I've always been a sucker for good stories(probably why I am such a huge Lunar freak); they just suck me in and I can't stop until it's over.

Aside from video games, I also read. Blizzard's novels get most of my reading attention. I have read every novel published so far and don't plan to stop anytime soon. 8)

Lately my newest hobby has been traveling. I've already started mapping out a roadtrip to the northeast US. Philadelphia, NY(upstate and NYC), Boston, and Niagra Falls. All that's left for me now is to determine when I'm going.

Well, I'm involved in Model UN, so much so that, besides helping organize it now on the high school level, I run the college team. Yesterday, I bought Robert's Rules to help somewhat, since there are many similarities between the parliamentary procedures.

Otherwise, I'm a Roman legion reenactor (though I think it'd be cool to turn barbarian sometime).

I also enjoy casual RP, specifically at a place called ElendorMUSH. I've also done some Star Wars roleplaying in the past, though that hasn't happened for a few years and I've lost all the logs from that time.

I have quite a collection of baseball cards, Star Wars CCG cards (the original one), Magic cards, Lord of the Rings cards, and others, though I very rarely buy today.

Of course, video games. ^_~

I'm an avid baseball fan, specifically the Braves, though they haven't been doing too good lately... still, I like watching them on TV, especially that night where they had... I think it was 8 home runs?

And I bowl a lot. Not lately, because I've been a little under the weather, but I maintain a 185 average lately. Right now, I'm trying to improve my spare game, before I really fortify getting strikes. I need constistency more than blow out games, though those are fun too. ;)

And poetry. That too. Reading and writing, though I need to get on the ball with that. Maybe I'll combine calligraphy with it. I'm an amateur in both, but I enjoy it.

I'm into Martial Arts, I've been doing Tae Kwon Do for a good 13 years, Brazilian Juijutsu for about 5 years, and various others here and there trying to round out my fighting. I'm heavy into mixed marital arts too. I write lyrics and music for my band, I play guitar (I can play bass and a bit of piano as well) while covering vocal duties. I also create digital landscapes and post them on dA and ArtIsMurder. I play soccer in several leagues (centre halfback) and love watching the World Cup. I still occassionally play basketball. I'm a rabid Boston Red Sox fan (YANKEES SUCK!).

Sleeping, making fun of you guys via my comics, writing, reading, net-surfing... I think that just about covers the main things.

As for me my hobbies include: Drawing, video games, reading (I just finished the Da Vinci Code in one sitting yesterday... Perhaps that was overkill?), net surfing, Scuba diving, and Dungens and Dragons. The last item is much of my social life. :P

Drawing is my main hobby. I'm trying to learn flash so that I can create some animations. I also love video games, fighting games, RPGs, survival horrors and simulation games (like The Sims). I've gotten back into reading more, I also love to write stories and I love to create Choose Your Own Adventure stories as well. I've recently tried to get into Yoga more, it's really relaxing and I really feel like I've gotten a workout afterwords. I'm also slowly but surely learning Japanese.

Knitting. Dabbling in lots of other things (beadwork, drawing, music) but knitting is the main one I actually support and spend my time doing. Though in the last six weeks I haven't done much of anything.

Alunissage, what do you knit exactly? I know knitting and crochetteing (sp?) is different, but they are related. My mother and grandmother corshette (sp?) afghowns (sp again?) I think it's a pretty neat thing to watch being done.

Video games all the way! Currently the MUD Lusternia. I've also started to draw super-deformed characters of the player base using their description. Which can be checked seen in the Lusternian forums under the 'character artwork' thread. I go by Fugisawa there.

My avatar is a version of my character Peter. 8)

I use to download Midi files and convert them to sheet music so I can spend days trying to learn how to play it on the piano... only to give up in utter frusteration :)

RBSD, and conceptual fighting.

Making blades and leatherwork. Making canes and other things you can hit stuff with. I just completed a quench and finishing cycle on a blade yesterday. It was a miracle that it didn't warp like crazy. Well it did once but it was fixable. The second time it came out almost totally straight. It was within the grinders ability to fix.

Grendel comics, and the Ultimates. I'm going to go pick up civil war 1 and 2 today. I'm with Captian America BTW.

Dogs. Molossers in particular.

Video games. Mostly Fable right now, but I'm ready for a good FPS. And as always I play SFIII once a day to keep my skills up.

Used to be a big time hiker, but I had to move out of Utah and to Virginia where hiking is just a myth.

Alunissage, what kind of beadwork do you do. Like native american type?

How do you play a MUD? I've heard folks mention them before but I don't know exactly what it is.

MUing is my major hobby.

And since you ask how.

First, go download MUSHClient

Then, go on MUDconnector and look around for a game that suits you. When you find one, create a character, and have fun.
Don't blame me, Lucia promised me lots of snuggles and cuddles if I would be her PR guy.

I'm about ready to get involved with a Capoeira group with one of my co-workers which should be awesome.

I'm also in the midst of having a bunch of theme parties with my friends. A few days ago we had 50's Friday.

I guess my other hobby would be gym-rat, but I don't think that counts.

Wow... I'm pretty boring... my hobbies consist of working my tail off... and spending what little free time I have with my kids... other than that, there's nothing else going on with my life. Sad huh?

That sounds pretty nice actually. My sister went to a 50's themed party once a loooong time ago, complete with a poodle skirt.
