Happy birthday Mickey!

It's still in a couple of hours for you, but since I have class tomorrow I might well forget. I hope a great day, a delectable sweet of choice, and good company. :D

Heh, thanks. I just noticed Jenner's birthday is today too. After knowing her for like 10 years, I can't believe that never came up. I know Coley was late January, and Eric is sometime around here (Feb 5th maybe? or was it late February?)... and Damian (Sensei Phoenix) was today. (2nd)

But yeah, thanks. I get to renew my drivers license, maybe eat out and probably go see Taken tomorrow night. Should be a good day. Then in 3 days, I get my wisdom teeth out. Greatest birthday present ever. :P

Actually, I intentionally edited my birthday in my profile to make it the same day as yours to be an asshat

Yeah, I gotta work. If I was in school, I'd take the day off. I would do that with work, but vacation days are a premium these days. :P

Happy B-Day, G-One. You're just now getting your wisdom teeth out? Mine have been out since I was 18, I think. It's not very fun. Are they actually just pulling them or do they have to cut into your gums? I bet yours came through all the way, and that's why you could wait so long.

I got my wisdom teeth removed when I was 18. It wasn't that bad, I felt no pain. I just vomited for two days and as a result the bleeding wouldn't stop. The vomiting tore up my throat pretty bad. I got to sleep on the couch the whole time though and no one bothered me. :D

The only reason mine had to be pulled was because the roots of the teeth were still growing and within a year or two it would fuse with the bone in my jaw. =/

Anyway, happy belated birthday to everyone in the past few days.

Thanks everyone! And yeah, I'm getting the wisdom teeth out pretty late. One of them never came out of the gums, so that'll be cut open. Another is most of the way out (surprisingly, that's the one they said that will be the worst. Apparently they have to break it in half to pull it out. I'm kinda nervous. Never had surgery of any kind, and they're putting me to sleep (never happened before either). I've never even had stitches. However, it does give me free license to go to Coldstone for ice cream all weekend long! Hah.

You only got one quarter for those 4 teeth? The tooth fairy ripped you off.

Happy Belated G1! Let us know how the surgery goes. I've been procrastinating on the wisdom teeth... You are a stronger person then me that's for sure.

It went fine. I'm super drugged up right now though. Right afterwards, I was taken home, and they went to get the painkillers it took them longer than expected, so I was in quite a bit of pain. After I got the Loritabs, I was set though. Small amount of dull pain, but barely noticeable if you're watching TV. And I don't have a high tolerance to pain either.

The anesthesia was friggin' awesome. I've never been put under, so it was an experience. He tells me the first drug injected will make me blurry and out of it, the second won't do much except kill any pain, while the third would knock me out. All I remember is him asking me about playing soccer in college (I had a soccer shirt from my old university on). He asked me a question about it, I answered and then it was lights out. Woke up, and was on cloud 9... Hoping to play soccer by Sunday, but I'm doubting I'll make that big of a recovery. Taking a header wouldn't be good, or a shot to the face.

Oh, I didn't realize you were getting general instead of local anesthesia. Um... to be safe, I'd give 36-48 hours after you woke up from the anesthetic to really do anything active. Usually its recovering from the surgery itself that's the more difficult part; but this was just your wisdom teeth, so you should be ok. KF
