It's just a scale to weigh out various foods, and it calculates the calories based on nutritional content that is stored in a database (of course this wouldn't be 100% accurate, but I imagine it would be pretty close).
I don't know how much I would use it. Mostly, I would probably just to use it to make sure I was getting the right amount of meat and other stuff that should be limited. I guess really for me a set of kitchen scales would be just as useful.

You know there are various websites you can use to calculate all of that information for you for free. Fitday.com/dailyplate & others calculate all your food intake into calories, nutrients, fat content, fiber etc for you. Plus you can enter in your own custom foods for more accurate information.

Right. I was mostly interested in the weighing aspect (the automatic calculation is a plus for sure though). For 20 dollars (the price it was on sale for), I don't think I could find a better deal.

- 6 Mozzarella sticks (went to eat with a visiting friend)

Not a good day, will be better tomorrow.

Lunch:
- Peanut Butter Sandwich
- 100 Calorie Snack
Dinner:
- 6 Mozzarella sticks (went to eat with a visiting friend)

Yeah. They sold out overnight, thought. I never like to purchase something late at night, because I'm afraid that my judgment will be impaired, but the good stuff at woot.com usually sells out overnight.

That empty stomach feeling is your metabolism running in higher gear. If you can stand it, you'll loose weight faster. When you get that feeling, it's a good time to drink more.

Some people like fresh vegetables and fruit and meat. And besides, not all food is wrapped for individual portions, so you still need to weigh them if you're dieting.

Hey there Nobi
I didn't read all the pages but from the looks of it I'm not sure you're eating enough veggies. You can eat a lot of veggies because they are low in calories but very good for your body (And filling!). It looks like you're eating those 5 meals a day, and that's great, but you still want them to be beneficial to you as well.
I highly recommend joining (if you haven't already) sparkpeople.com It's a very good resource for just about anything you can think of. It's free and you can keep a food journal that will keep track of your daily caloric intake as well as break your foods down by protein, carbs, and fat percentages. That way you can see what you may be lacking or have too much of in your diet each day. It starts everyone off in what they call a "fastbreak" for the first two weeks. It doesn't force you to radically change your diet, but helps to build or build on healthy habits. This includes drinking more water (which you can track in your food journal), portion control, measuring food, setting healthy and attainable/short term goals.
Overall, spark people helps build a healthy and strong foundation for a healthy lifestyle... they use the word diet, but they are all about the lifestyle change. I lost 10 lbs in just a couple of months using the site because of all the information and tools that I utilized. I know I probably sound like an infomercial or something (haha), but it is a very great tool and one that works. They have videos on strength training and other exercises as well. And speaking of which it also has a fitness journal you can keep there if you like. I believe each pound of fat weighs roughly 3500 calories... I'm probably off on that number, but for the sake of the example you can track your daily carlorie intake as I mentioned, but by entering in your exercise it keeps track of what you burn as well so you can see if your on the right track with burning those calories. They break down everything into graphs and other visuals that are really motivating. Also in the beginning I think they help you determine your calorie range... and then you set some goals whether they are habit or weight related.
Anyhow, sorry for such a long post, but being someone that has struggled with weight for a while now I wish I'd known about the site a while back and I really feel like it can make a big difference and it's just so darn helpful

Ok, Nobi, how's your cholesterol? You eat quite a lot of eggs (1-2 per day--so you're reaching like a dozen a week). While it's not necessarily bad, if cholesterol is a problem for you, then it might not be such a good idea. I'd check with a nutritionist or doctor.
At the very least, you may want to switch your eggs for egg beaters, or some suitable substitute. KF
