36 hour shift... sleep in the entire next day... 36 hour shift again... sleep in the entire next day... 36 hour shift... you get the idea. It sucks, but at least it's over and done with. I'mma spend the next week sitting at home and watching TV.
By the way, Scrubs is more accurate than Grey's Anatomy. Just saying.

Having worked an ER in Mosul for months on end, I can totally agree with this statement. It sucks. Like, hard.

Scrubs. *Sigh* <3
I'm on Season 5, doing about 3 - 7 episodes a day. Stupid work. Cutting into my Scrubs time.

The worst part about being on call for me? Having sex with all those strangers.

Remember, women love the opposite of what we love best. Sex over money for us, and money over sex for them!
*Note: I'm guessing I offended about half of everyone with that comment. Ah, such as tough and touchy crowd...*

You mean stationed in Iraq? Dude, that's tough...
GSWs are the worst, if you ask me. I can deal with most really bad trauma without getting fazed. If someone gets badly injured in like a car wreck, you can chalk it up to an accident and keep going and focused. But the thing that
always gets me with GSWs is the thought that someone
else inflicted this damage. I can put it out of my mind dealing with only a few per week, but I don't know how I'd deal with working in a combat zone while staying disaffected, you know?

I believe it stands for "gunshot wound."

Gunshots are an easy patch for us though. A tampon is the best thing a medic can have on him in those situations. The worst for me are the ones that are in roll overs and still alive. Nothing you can do for those poor suckers. We had a lieutenant that got stuck in a roll over, cut straight in half. The only thing keeping him alive was the vehicle wedged in between both halves. We managed to put a call in to his wife and kids and he got a chance to say goodbye to them and us. Once we pulled that MRAP out, he was done.
