I dropped some not-so-subtle hints to my parents at Thanksgiving that I want a Kindle for Christmas. Please, Santa!

I took a trip to California when I was 16, and let me just say that the only part of that trip I enjoyed happened to be the plane rides. It's just amazing to look out the windows and see above the cloud line and how it just looks like cotton. Also, the geography of the land is amazing.

I really miss not having the money to take trips (not that I ever had money) because I enjoyed flying. Don't be scared Jenner, it should be exciting!

Jenner Silver Phoenix is right flying is fun. It really gives you a perspective of how small we really are. Plus the earth is just amazing to look at from up above. I hope you enjoy it, especially flying through clouds. =o)

Hey Jenner, how long is your flight gonna be? Hopefully not too long. I remember my first plane ride was'nt until I was 18 and it was a grueling 9 hours overseas trip...

As for Christmas, my parents already gave me theirs, which was $$ towards my new laptop. My girlfriend, as far as I know, got me a whole lot of Blu-rays, some clothes, and some things I don't know of yet :)

It's only an hour or two, shouldn't be that bad.

Glad to hear people are getting games! >.> I got socks and underwear, I was thrilled. I remember hating getting those as a kid, now I ask for them.

I get socks (and usually underwear) every year! It just wouldn't be Christmas w/o them. =)

I'm mainly getting books towards my oral exam reading lists. Mainly a lot of volumes of medieval poetry I'd love to read without constantly having to check them out of the library.

I did request a few games too. Like Dragon Age! And a teapot. (Yes, a teapot is a game.)

Lucia said I'm getting a VERY nice present this year.

Ya know how it is.
Don't blame me, Lucia promised me lots of snuggles and cuddles if I would be her PR guy.

It's not for Christmas, just coincidental timing, but I'm getting a new Pat Green Deb's Delicate Deluxe drum carder -- which probably will mean nothing to anyone not in the fiber arts and crafts. It's a hand-crank machine into which one feeds wool and other fibers to be blended together by running them through two cylinders covered with finely spiked cloth. They look like highly-magnified velcro hair curlers. =) Anyway, the purpose of this is to prepare fiber for spinning into yarns, and this is pretty much top of the line of the manuals. I've been getting rather a lot of fiber to use with it (and on the two carders I have on loan from my mom) and I have one more shipment coming which I hope will arrive before the end of the year. Now if only I could stop working long enough to PLAY with all this stuff, that would be nice... I stayed home this year rather than planning on visiting family and I've spent all of today, my state-mandated holiday...working. Sigh.

Haven't seen you in a while!

And I'm not getting a lot. I got a little cash to help with the enormous amount of money I'm spending printing/framing my photography for a big art show I'm doing in February. I'll probably get some food baskets, maybe a Blu-Ray and a gift card or two.
