YES! PORCUPINE TREE KICKS ***! STP isn't exactly shabby either.

Anyway,

Heaven Beside You by Alice In Chains

I'm sure I've posted the lyrics to this many times before ><

Panic! At the Disco -- Camisado

This is the scent of dead skin on a linoleum floor.
This is the scent of quarantine wings in a hospital.
And it's not so pleasant, and it's not so conventional.
It sure as hell ain't normal, but we deal, we deal.

The anesthetic never set in and I'm wondering where,
The apathy and urgency is that I thought I phoned in.

No it's not so pleasant, and it's not so conventional.
It sure as hell ain't normal, But we deal, we deal.

Sit back, relax.
Sit back, relapse.
Again and again.

You can take the kid out of the fight,
But you cant take the fight out of the kid.

You're a regular decorated emergency.
The bruises and contusion,
Will remind you what you did when you wake.

You've earned a place atop the ICU's hall of fame.
The camera caught you causing a commotion on the gurney again.
(2nd highest all time number of curses, swears and punches.)

Zombie Autopilot by Unearth

it was last night on the midnight train back home. i ran into this one yet unfamiliar tone i know i should have known it was
last night i knew i should have known. chaos. our busy minds asleep. we drudge across the land is this the coming end of our
monarchy harmless. we meet increased demands. is this the life we all had in our dreams. our eternal nightmare all of us are
blind to others. hide behind our plans to nothing. cage us. we weep in self defeat. all humanity is lost. in this eternal
nightmares. all days are lost to conditioned zones. all days are lost to what we know free us. a piece of mind. gone are dreamers
who strive to know. all of us are blind

Wind -- Akeboshi (Ending Naruto theme for season 1)

Cultivate your hunger before you idealize.
Motivate your anger to make them all realize.
Climbing the mountain, never coming down.
Break into the contents, never falling down.

My knee is still shaking, like I was twelve,
Sneaking out of the classroom, by the back door.
A man railed at me twice though, but I didn't care.
Waiting is wasting for people like me.

Don't try to live so wise.
Don't cry 'cause you're so right.
Don't dry with fakes or fears,
'Cause you will hate yourself in the end.

(Repeats)

You say, "Dreams are dreams.
"I ain't gonna play the fool anymore."
You say, "'Cause I still got my soul."

Take your time, baby, your blood needs slowing down.
Breach your soul to reach yourself before you gloom.
Reflection of fear makes shadows of nothing, shadows of nothing.

You still are blind, if you see a winding road,
'Cause there's always a straight way to the point you see.

Don't try to live so wise.
Don't cry 'cause you're so right.
Don't dry with fakes or fears,
'Cause you will hate yourself in the end.

(Repeats)

YES! PORCUPINE TREE KICKS ***!

I know! ...and now your avatar looks very familiar. A friend of mine turned me on to Porcupine Tree when he found out I like the Smashing Pumpkins. I'm surprised they aren't more popular, if they got airplay they'd be HUGE! (Around here they don't anyway)

What discs do you reccomend? I don't have any except for a disc he threw at me which musicmatch labeled as "In Absentia Bonus Disc 1 of 2" I probably won't be seeing the guy for a while now (he's a friend of a friend) and now I'm hooked on this disc, and don't know where to go from here. In Absentia would be the first album to get I guess.

My avatar is the cover of In Absentia but cropped a bit :) I'd reccomend In Abesntia and Deadwing to start with as their two most listenable discs. After that, they have a huge library of albums, I should know, I own them all O_o. I'd also reccomend Lightbulb Sun, some of their earlier stuff is really similar to Pink Floyd too... it's all good stuff, you can't ever really go wrong.

OH, almost forgot, song...

So Far So Good by Thornley (Thornley is amazing by the way, one of the best rock acts around these days)

I feel a little bit left of center
but then again we've all been there before
Every time I see a lost cause coming
it's nothing less, nothing more
Every time I get lost in paradise
I find a way to screw it up somehow
It's not the way it's supposed to be
but it'll do for now

When you're right, you're right
Everything else in my life just might be wrong
You're wrong all the time

So far so good 'cause no one knows I'm faking
I wish I could show you the toll it's taking
Sometimes I live as if there's no tomorrow
So far so good

I better find a way to cross my fingers
half the luck'll get me twice as far
I'm sick and tired of coming up for air
it shouldn't be this hard
Every little bit'll help I wonder
if it's enough or did I cross the line
The kitchen counter is a bad reminder of a better time

When you're right, you're right
Everything else in my life just might be wrong
You're wrong all the time

So far so good 'cause no one knows I'm faking
I wish I could show you the toll it's taking
Sometimes I live as if there's no tomorrow
So far so good

When you're right
Everything else you messed up just might be wrong
You're wrong all the time

So far so good 'cause no one knows I'm faking
I wish I could show you the toll it's taking
Sometimes I live as if there's no tomorrow
So far so good

Ok, cool. I'll check them out.

Tool - Parabola

We barely remember who or what came before this precious moment,
We are Choosing to be here, right now.
Hold on, stay inside...
This holy reality, this holy experience.
Choosing to be here in...
This body. This body holding me.
Be my reminder here that I am not alone in
This body, this body holding me, feeling eternal all this pain is an illusion.

Alive!

In this holy reality, in this holy experience. Choosing to be here in...
This body. This body holding me.
Be my reminder here that I am not alone in
This body, this body holding me, feeling eternal all this pain is an illusion...

Twirling round with this familiar parable.
Spinning, weaving round each new experience.
Recognize this as a holy gift and, celebrate this
(chance to be alive and breathing 2x)

This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality.
Embrace this moment. Remember. we are eternal.
all this pain is an illusion.

Tonight, Tonight -- Smashing Pumpkins

Time is never time at all
You can never ever leave without leaving a piece of youth
And our lives are forever changed
We will never be the same
The more you change the less you feel
Believe, believe in me, believe
That life can change, that you're not stuck in vain
We're not the same, we're different tonight
Tonight, so bright

Tonight

And you know you're never sure
But your sure you could be right
If you held yourself up to the light
And the embers never fade in your city by the lake
The place where you were born
Believe, believe in me, believe
In the resolute urgency of now
And if you believe there's not a chance tonight
Tonight, so bright

Tonight

We'll crucify the insincere tonight
We'll make things right, we'll feel it all tonight
We'll find a way to offer up the night tonight
The indescribable moments of your life tonight
The impossible is possible tonight
Believe in me as I believe in you, tonight

Minstrel Boy

-Minstrels of Mayhem

Well, I'll sing to the morning,
And I'll sing through the night,
And I'll sing to the swiftness of our swords,
And I'll pray for the comrades to stand strong before the fight,
As they all march on so bravely off to war.

Our minds are on our sweethearts,
Our thoughts are with our friends,
In our hearts we feel so empty and alone.
And we think about our families, shall we ne'er see them again,
And we dream about the day that we'll go home.

Chorus:

For I am not a soldier, I am just a minstrel boy,
And my duty to this army is to sing them songs of joy.
To keep their hearts in the battle,
To keep their minds from the fray,
And I'm not afraid to die, today.

And I see their burdens lighten,
I see their spirits lift
As I sing them songs of battles won before,
And I feel their muscles tighten and I sense their feelings shift,
As they strive on to the struggle that's in store.

Well, the battle rages onward,
The fighting has begun,
And the men they show no mercy and no fear.
Now the darkness it surrounds us as the clouds pass o'er the sun,
And in my death the minutes pass like years.

Chorus
(Flute)
Chorus

And so now my strings are broken,
And my lute is torn in two,
And my honor and my duty to this army now are through.
There'll be no more songs of laughter, no more time to sit and play,
And I am afraid to die, today.

River of Deceit by Mad Season

My pain is self chosen
At least so the prophet says
I could either burn
Or cut off my pride and buy some time
A head full of lies is the weight tied to my waste
The river of deceit pulls down
Oh oh
The only direction we flow is down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down
My pain is self chosen
At least I believe it to be
I could either drown
Or pull of my skin and swim to shore
Now I can build a beautiful shell for all to see
The river of deceit pulls down
Yeah-eah
The only direction we flow is down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down
My pain is self chosen
Our pain is self chosen
Down, oh down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down
Down, oh down

Doctor! Doctor! by The Thompson Twins

I saw you there, just standing there
And I thought I was only dreaming yeah
I kissed you then, then once again
You said you would come and dance with me

Dance with me across the sea
And we could feel the motion of a thousand dreams
Doctor, doctor, can't you see I'm burning, burning
Oh doctor, doctor, is this love I'm feeling?

Ships at night give such delight
We all leave before the morning light
Please don't go no please don't go
Cause I don't want to stay here on my own

Oh

Doctor, doctor, can't you see I'm burning, burning
Oh doctor, doctor, is this love I'm feeling?
Doctor, doctor, can't you see I'm burning, burning
Oh doctor, doctor, is this love I'm feeling?

Fever breathe your love on me (breathe your love)
Take away my name (take away)
Fever lay your hands on me (breathe your love)
Never be the same

Oh

Doctor, doctor, can't you see I'm burning, burning
Oh doctor, doctor, is this love I'm feeling?
Oh doctor, doctor, can't you see I'm burning, burning
Oh doctor, doctor, is this love I'm feeling?

Come with me and make believe
We can travel to eternity

Eskimo - Damien Rice

Tiredness fuels empty thoughts
I find myself disposed
Brightness fills empty space
In search of inspiration
Harder now with higher speed
Washing in on top of me
So I look to my eskimo friend
I look to my eskimo friend
I look to my eskimo friend
When I'm down, down, down.

Rain it wets muddy roads
I find myself exposed
Tapping doors, but irritate
In search of destination
Harder now with higher speed
Washing in on top of me
So I look to my eskimo friend
I look to my eskimo friend
I look to my eskimo friend
When I'm down, down, down.

(Next section is in Finnish - sung by Doreen Curran)

kosketa minua - touch me
älä käsilläsi - not with your hands
vaan niin että tunnen sinut - but the way I can feel you

kosketa minua - touch me
älä käsilläsi - not with your hands
mutta sielussasi - but within your soul

minä kaipaan eskimo-ystävääni - I look to my eskimo friend

When I'm down, down, down.
When I'm down, down, down.

By The Way -- Red Hot Chili Peppers

Standing in line to see the show tonight
And there's a light on heavy glow
By the way I tried to say I'd be there
waiting for
Dani's the girl is singing songs to me
Beneath the marquee
Overload

Steak knife
Card shark
Con job
Boot cut

Skin that flick she's such a little DJ
To get there quick by street but not the freeway
Turn that trick to make a little leeway
Beat that nic but not the way that we play

Dogtown
Blood bath
Rib cage
Soft tal

Standing in line to see the show tonight
And there's a light on heavy glow
By the way I tried to say I'd be there waiting for
Dani's the girl is singing songs to me
Beneath the marquee
Overload

Black jack
Dope dick
Pawn shop
Quick pick

Kiss that dyke I know you want to hold one
Not on strike but I'm about to bowl one
Bite that mic I know you never stole one
Girls that like a story, so I told one

Song bird
Main line
Cash back
Hard top

Standing in line to see the show tonight
And there's a light on heavy glow
By the way I tried to say I'd be there
waiting for

Jeremy Camp... never get sick of him. =) There's another one I REALLY love, but it doesn't fit here... maybe I'll come back later. =)

This Man
In only moment truth
Was seen revealed this mystery
The crown that showed no dignity He wore
And the King was placed for all the world
To show disgrace but only beauty flowed from His face

Would you take the place of this Man
Would you take the nails from His hands
Would you take the place of this Man
Would you take the nails from His hands

He held the weight of impurity the Father
Would not see
The reasons had finally come to be to
Show the depth of his grace flowed with
Every sin He erased He knew that this was
Why He came

Would you take the place of this Man
Would you take the nails from His hands
Would you take the place of this Man
Would you take the nails from His hands

And we just don’t know the blood and
Water flowed and in it all He showed just
How much he cared
And the veil was torn so we could have
This open door and all these things have
Finally been complete

to me.... it's a beautiful picture, and I love this song. =) Jeremy Camp rocks. =)
