I was.

...and then I read the rough draft of the script.

As someone who watches movies and plays games almost completely for the story aspect, I can sadly say I will only be going to see The Last Stand for the action scenes.

Keep an open mind, Nall.

As someone who does theatre, I can tell you that just looking at a script can't always reveal to you the depth of what's on with the characters.

I've seen scripts that seemed really boring that became amazing in their performance simply from the direction and the acting bringing to light a hidden subtext that I hadn't seen before.

So, keep an open mind. :) You never know, it might pleasantly surprise you.

Of course, I haven't read the script, so I don't know, either.

I really don't know how it is going to be, but I just can't wait until I see it.

Hmm... All I know is that I loved the first one, and didn't think there could be anythin' better. Then the second one comes along, and I loved it more. Now all I have at this point is commercials and I love the commercials. I'm not worried. But this is me.

I really want to see all of the new characters. The angel, the dude with pins all over his face. It is all good.

I'm really looking forward to seeing it myself. Especially for the characters. Like Phoenix. And Beast. And Phoenix. And Juggernaut. And Phoenix. ...did I mention Phoenix? KF

I'm looking forward to it as well. Does anyone know if Nightcrawler is in it again? He became my favorite in the last movie.

Unless IMDb is lying, there will be no Nightcrawler. The casting of Kelsey Grammer as Beast is what has me intrigued. I think it will probably work well. And I'm a huge Cheers fan, so I've gotta see it.

Nightcrawler's effects were frickin' awesome and he is one of my favorite characters ever since I played X-Men the Arcade Game in the arcades. The omitted his character from this third film because of the special effects budge. They wanted to bring in some new characters and effects and it would have been too expensive to have Nightcrawler in this film. I think Angel looks like crap, a total miscast. I am severely pissed that this movie is under two hours! It's no wonder that the movie is going to seem crammed because the story won't have time to develop properly. All that we can hope for is the film to exceed our expectations.

There are rumors suggesting that Iceman will completely ice-up but I'll believe it when I see it. Colossus should look fantastic though, and sexy to boot.

If you check on YouTube, they, I believe, have some vids of Iceman all "iced up" :) I know all the trailers are there and they have a scene from the movie that shows a sentinel and the beloved "Fastball Special"... which in my opinion looks more like the "Wedgie Special" haha, but that's just me :p

I can't wait to see this movie, I'm disappointed to hear it's under 2 hours :\ I can't wait to see the Phoenix whoop butt. The battle is gonna be freakin' awesome. When Storm says something about choosing what side to fight on is she talking to Rogue? I'm getting the impression from the previews that Rogue is having a problem deciding, but I'm not sure.

Anyways, I'm terribly disappointed that there's no Gambit... they mentioned his name and that's it... I'm so angry :\ But I guess I'd prefer no Gambit, to really bad Gambit. Anyone ever read Wizard Magazine? How they always said that Patrick Stewart would play Prof X? And how Jean Claude Vandamme would be Gambit? Thank god that never came to pass ^^;;;

*eyes Kiz*

I can see I am not the only Phoenix fanboy in the house. :P

G1: Nightcrawler will not be in The Last Stand. Supposedly the "Official Game" will explain why he isn't in it.

Oh, it isn't a matter of being boring or anything like that. It's just many of the things they did that I don't agree with. Many things. It just feels like in some parts they were being lazy and almost completely reusing the plot for X-2, and then at other times they are trying to hard to make an "impact" on the audience by doing things that they just shouldn't have done.

Not to mention they're doing a fantastic job of confusing people. There are Two Novels - The "Kiddie" Novel and the "Movie" Novel...and they both tell very different stories about what is going to happen in the movie. The "Kiddie" Novel goes with the script, though, so until I see it on screen I'm going to assume that is how the movie will play out.

Though I pray they surprise me and everyone else who read the script by completely chaning ALMOST everything. (Too bad the soundtrack and the trailers have more or less confirmed that one of my biggest disappointments did make it into the film. =/)

That and phoenix... as she is reallyreallyreally cool.
