The Megas - get equipped

Postby Kizyr » Tue Mar 18, 2008 4:30 am

Mega Man 2 always was one of my favorite old video game soundtracks. And, a while back, OCRemix put up a song by The Megas called The Annihilation of Monsteropolis, a remix of Airman's theme. Except it had really good lyrics, vocals, sound quality, everything... I ended up getting their album (get equipped). It's a 12-track album, with 10 separate themes--one for each of the eight robots, and two from Dr Wily's theme.

Anyway, the website is here:

I really recommend getting the album. Each of the eight songs from the robots is done from the robot's point-of-view, so...

"No one in this world can understand
Who I am
That is why I'm my own biggest fan.
Do you know what it's like to be built this way?
With only the power to push others away?"

"Out of the 8 robots, of all of us
My power is so ridiculous
I realize something as I stand here waiting
That I'm the one who I'm really hating"

"What Megaman and my brothers don't know
Is this flash is all for show
'Cause inside
There's nothing there and there's nothing to me
I'm empty and I'm hollow!"

So... yeah. Try listening to The Annihilation of Monsteropolis from here:
And if you like it, check out the album. KF

Heya Kizyr, sorry to revive but yea, I like The Megas, anything Mega Man related is pretty sweet. Also, you should check out The Protomen, ( they have a link to their myspace on their so you can check out the music.) they are a band that sings about the mega man story line through the eyes of Protoman. Its pretty sweet. A buddy of mine are going to their second cd release party in Nashville sept 25th. Their album booklet follows along with the songs and has an awesome story and art to go along with.
