My First Short Film ("The Internet is Lonely")
Okay, so yeah, a monkey probably could have done better. Still, I had to start somewhere and all the ideas floating around in my head are simply too grand a scale to attempt to film. So I stuck with something simple: a theme about how sometimes there simply isn't anyone to talk to online. The full story will be in the side bar so be sure to read that. Any suggestions or critiques welcomed (aside from the obvious problems I pointed out in the side bar). And just to beat everyone to it, yes, it does suck =P

It was pretty amusing... I enjoyed it.
I was thinking about not replying...just to prove the point the video was making.

Haha, thanks. I'm wanting to remake it when I have a little more time. First though, I'll have to reorganize how everything gets saved (screen captures go in one folder, filming in another, music in another, etc) so I'm going to have a make a project folder to make it easier to find and load everything.

Myspace is truly the loneliest place on the Internet. I go there whenever I want to waste time, but I don't want people to know that I'm wasting time.

Well, sure it is, now that everyone jumped ship and went to Facebook. The only reason I started actively using Facebook is because all my friends left Myspace for it.

Oh geez it's been years since I have used my myspace account. I am on facebook daily on the other hand. =o) That is so sad.

I'm sure thats what it is. ICANN probably demanded a protocol in the Internet language to ensure that whenever I come online, the world is given a warning so they can run and hide, haha.LuNaRtIc wrote:Phyco is online?! *Flees L-Net*

I'm surprised, when did you do this? I'm usually idling online. (Maybe not so much now that I'm crashing and burning out of college)

Re: My First Short Film ("The Internet is Lonely")
I did it last weekend and I can assure you, if you were on, you where hiding =P. Of course, I have to take some liberties to get the shot I wanted with AIM. 90% of the time I log in, no one is on or they are idling AFK - but no, that day two people had to be on. So I had to block them to get the shot. After, though, I unblocked them.
Quark: Tis' why I picked the Avatar. It was part of Alayna's 108 stars. She let us pick one for our avatars and color them (cause she's cool like that) for us. When I looked at that picture, I knew I had to have it.

Re: My First Short Film ("The Internet is Lonely")
Oh, I see. Well that makes sense. But now I have new questions. Pardon my ignorance because I have not been a member for very long. Who is Alayna? Is she a member on L-Net? I assume the 108 stars must be a Suikoden reference. How can I get a cool original avatar? Is there any hope for a technologically challenged person such as myself to create a cool avatar?phyco126 wrote:Quark: Tis' why I picked the Avatar. It was part of Alayna's 108 stars. Re: My First Short Film ("The Internet is Lonely")
Yeah, she is a member of L-Net. I keep forgetting to use usernames at all times =/ This was done years ago, I haven't seen her pop in very often these days. I don't even know if she still has the pictures.
Anyway, I'm technologically advanced, but artistically impaired, so no hope for me making my own avatar. I have a couple that I switch back and forth to now and then.

Re: My First Short Film ("The Internet is Lonely")
Quark, what kind of avatar are you looking for? The problem with designing anything is that they have to be kept a little small on here. I had to shrink mine on here just to get it to fit to constraints. My phoenix is actually modeled in a 3D program but I haven't used it in years and it's very complicated. Maybe I can help you out with something, because I've been way too lazy in designing anything for a long time.
Re: My First Short Film ("The Internet is Lonely")
Well that would be awesome! I would like to stick with a portrait of Mel, or use a portrait of Quark. I would just like to create an original version that nobody else would have.

Why does this remind me of myself EVERY LAST SINGLE DAY OF MY LIFE!? ;_;
All in all, a good film, well done, short and to the point and doesn't overstay it's welcome. I applaud you sir.
