This looks great. I can't wait to see the finished product. I would also love to see more of this in the future. Thanks!

That is coming along quite nicely. Take your time with it, and then send it to GameArts with a message that says "Where the hell is our Lunar 3!!??"

It's nice to see you added shading for detail instead of what could be paint by number. What version of Photoshop are you using?

Photoshop CS. The first CS.

EDIT: The reason this piece's gonna take forever to paint.... is the wood.

For example, this is approximately what it'll look like at the proper size.

Here's how close I'm painting it.

Well you could always create a mask, but then you'll just have a repeating pattern on the wood and it won't look as organic. I think you'll appreciate the work more once you're finished, because it's already a quality piece. If you had the software/hardware for using a lightpen it would make things much easier, and I hate painting in photoshop as it is. I forget how to do so many things with that program it would be like starting from scratch.

I used Photoshop for the color rough and to arrange the layers, but I'm actually doing my painting in a program called openCanvas 4.06. I rather like it, though sadly there's no Mac version. D:

Geez Nobi. You're brilliant. ; ; I wish I could draw half as good as you. Keep up the good work, and a Merry Christmas to you too.

He only used Photoshop to organize the layers, and he used a different program to paint it.

Yep. As I mentioned, Photoshop was basically used to scan the image in and arrange the layers before doing the majority of the painting in open Canvas 4 (though I did end up using Corel Painter 8 for some touch up work on the wood).

Amazing work Nobi! It's fantastic! ^_^

I can tell it took forever to do the floor and wood. So much detail! o_o

It is beautiful. Great job! Now get crackin'. You only have a few days left to complete your New Years Day Lunar painting ;)
