I really doubt that had to do with laziness, rather than unrealistic schedules and poor management and judgment. I mean, thought was put into things, just not the things that were the most important.

I still hate the fact that they took Vane out of the final game. Of all the towns in the game, why Vane?

I played all the Finale Fantasy games but I still like Lunar a lot more I really like the story behind it the Finale Fantasy games have a good story as well but they were just way to long and half the game was just having you do nothing but waste time
And Final Fantasy 8 was not that good

I still have yet to play lunar dragon song because I heard that it was a terrible game, and also part because I don't own the system. I plan on getting a DS soon and picking it up to add to my collection, but I still want to play magic school on my saturn, and before that I want to finish learning japanese which is coming along quite nicely.

As for final fantasy, I can't come to a proper conclusion because I'm still in the somewhat beginning of final fantasy VII. However, from what I can see so far I'm enjoying the final fantasy story.. just nowhere near as much as the depth lunar gave me.

I'd also point out the thing nobody likes to admit. We anime/video game fans are generally a bit more sappy than the normal game fanatics.

I love the Final Fantasy series. It has more games and has a more established history. HOWEVER.....Lunar is the single best series I've EVER played from any video game genre. It feels familiar, like home, whever I go back to play SSSC or EBC. Lunar is the best...hands down.

Don't kill me... but I said final fantasy... I guess because each ff is so different from eachother? I might not like ff8,10,10-2,11, or 12 as much but at least there is something for everyone. Lunar is very different than ff so it was kinda hard for me to pick. FF7 pushed me to pick FF.

I'd have to say Lunar. While Final Fantasy is a good series, Lunar has something special about it that makes it extremely unique. Not to mention it was the RPG that got me so addicted to the genre.

I have to go with Lunar. Simply for it's entries character depth and strong story. I've played every Lunar and Final fantasy game. (Well, Not Dragon song I avoided that like the plague. haha) And, the characters in Lunar are forever burned in my mind, with their distinctive personality traits. And, even some of the attacks. I still can't get Lemina's "Mega Magic Flame!" out of my head. lol Lunar represents everything that made me love RPGs in the first place. Unlike recent FF titles which have been all Flash and not much subsistence.
