Secret of Mana

Post by GhaleonOne »

Just a note, but if anyone has a Wii and hasn't experienced this game, it's now on the Virtual Console. And it's absolutely worth the measly $8 they're charging for it.

I have a copy for the SNES and will not buy it again. Earthbound, on the other hand, would be an instant buy.

BTW, the Mother 3 translation patch will be available by the end of the week.

See, I had my cart stolen. I still have the boxes, instructions, etc. And I haven't played it in probably ten years, so that'll be a likely buy for me when I get enough time to actually play it.

Oooh, I might have to get that sometime.

As for Earthbound, I'm, um, playing it right now on my SNES. So it may be a bit if they come out with that, though I would get it.

And...translation patch so soon? *checks Starmen.net*

You don't have to blow into VC games.

I still have the SNES cart, but I just bought the VC version too. Always nice to have a backup, and it'll be easier to get 3 people to play on Wii than it would be to find a multi-tap. ^_^

Getting one of those was hell even when the SNES was current gen.

I'm confused. The SNES could be linked together? O_O

I thought the earliest system (excluding the Game Boys) to allow that was the Playstation X.

I think the Multi-Tap was just an accessory that allowed for extra controllers to be plugged in allowing up to four people to play certain games (three in the case of SoM).

OOoooooooo, okay. Makes since then, one of my friends had one of those. Never had much use for it though.

I loved Secret of Mana, I could never get all the ultimate weapons though. Odd.

I also had the multi-tap. For that one single game. Never used it for another. Oh Multi-tap, you served your purpose well.

Yeah, I'm not sure I ever used it for anything else. And I'm not sure I ever fully leveled up all the weapons. I just downloaded it last night though and started playing through it. Forgot how fun it was, but the dialog is pretty corny looking back now.

What happens when your SNes copy eventually breaks, Werefrog?

Anyway, I've already got it, and I've been playing through. It would a seem they fixed the glitches, or I just haven't made them work their magic yet.
