They know everything there is to know about video games. They are NeoGAF. [/sarcasm]

There is some validity to the "Legend of Heroes games are huge undertakings", but Falcom games even in Japan aren't million sellers. I don't exactly think XSEED is doing with the intent on having the next FF7, I think they kind of know what to expect, and if they thought it would really hurt them, probably wouldn't have taken on the job.

They know they are marketing to a niche. As long as they can get that niche to buy, I think they'll be okay.

Also, they have a "partnership" with Falcom, so I assume they'll get some support capital from them too, if they need it.

On top of that, they bought a fan translation for Oath of Felghana. Saving them money and making the fans happy, I think XSEED has a grip on what they are doing...

I see Amazon is taking preorders on the standard edition, but I'm goin to purchase that beautiful limited edition. I wonder if XSEED is planning any special packages for OiF and 1 & 2 Chronicles. The artbook has art for all 3 games so I doubt we'll get another one and the map appears to cover the whole world. I'd be fine with just the soundtracks, but maybe XSEED has something different in mind....kinda like the bromide cards.

EDIT: The LE is up on Amazon now!!!

Preordered from Amazon!

I'm actually kinda glad it won't be out until late August. I don't think I could afford a July release.

Yeah. August is a great time for me too. I should have all the games I'm currently working on cleared up by then.

I've never played an Y's game ever, but I know it has a healthy fan following. Action rpg's just never interested me that much for some reason. For whatever reason The Secret of Mana on SNES was the only one I really got into. I like the Zelda series but there isn't much in the way of story.

My PSP lies dormant, and I never even played Dissidia even though I own it. My game playing has become minimal.

Just thought I'd post the link for the official site. Theres a ton of info on it for people still on the fence. The site is similar to the SSH site, but plays crazy awesome Ys music instead of crazy awesome Lunar music. It looks and sound fantastic. Can't wait for next week to get here!!!!

Much like with Lunar Harmony a few months ago, I bought an LE to keep and a copy to open and play.

Really great art book included, I haven't opened the map or the music CD ye

The game is such a blast. So fast-paced with great music and cool characters. Xseed did an awesome job with localization too. I'm loving all the little nods to older Ys games as well.

I recommend getting the LE....if you have the money. The goodies packed in with it are nice.

Playing this game really makes me happy. It's yet one more reason I'm still in Meribia in Lunar SSH. There's too much psp goodness out now, I love it.

Oath in Felghana has been released. I'm playing it right now and loving it all over again. XSEED did a wonderful job with the voices.
