Interesting Resource on Emulation

Post by Shiva Indis »

I found an article explaning why console/arcade games don't display quite right on PC, and what you can do to improve it. The author claims it's dull, but I have to disagree.

I think some Genesis family emulators (Gens in particular) are already optimized for this, but I've noticed a marked improvement on SNES emulation after doing what's suggested here.

I came across this phenomenon when I first tried to use the T.V.-out on my graphics card. I noticed that all aps look much different on T.V. and it took a lot of trial and error to adjust the T.V.'s resolution and refresh rate because it all looked wierd.

Now I know why. Thanks for sharing! :)

Awesome, I wonder if it will work for the PS1 emulator I have. Well if it does then I will finally be able to start ripping Lunar sprites.
