This board is for general discussion of Lunar. Especially things such as Lunar merchandise, general discussions about the story that span more than one game, etc.

I thought this would be an appropriate place for this topic (mods, please alert me if I'm wrong lol).

Here's a nice spot to list the Lunar collectibles you've spent your life savings on. I mean, we all love Lunar, but this is a special topic for those to blow the dust of their trophies, polish them off and have a few bragging rights.

I'll start us off:

G1, is there a text limit on these posts? Might want to lift it in the chance Alunnisage goes through her collection. =P

Mine:

Nall Plushie
Lunar: SSSC Box Set (Heavely used, currently sitting in a ziplock bag vaccumed and then sitting in my Lunar draw. Box contained everything but the games inside, the games are somewhere else)
Lunar2: EBC Box Set (Not even used, only games are out of the box)
Lunar: Legend (Japanese)
Lunar: Legend (English, opened box so I could play the game)
Lunar: Legend (Enligsh, unopened box =P)
Lunar: DS (English, unopened)
One of a kind item here folks, a 2 x 4 inch (approx) 1/8th acrlyc pice of clear plastic with one of Jessica's bromides laser etched into the face.
Lunar: TSS English Strategy Guide (official)
Lunar: SSSC English Strategy Guide (Official)
Lunar: EBC English Strategy Guide (Official)
Lunar I & II Art Book (Nyah)

Not much of a collection of course, but I love it.

Not too much here, either:

Lunar: TSS
Lunar: EB
Lunar: SSSC
Lunar: EBC
Lunar: DS (all games open and thoroughly played; SCD boxes even cracked on occasion from having maps stuffed into 'em at odd places).

Official guides for EB/SSSC/EBC; the latter two are falling apart from excessive over-reading

(ironically, the only Lunar game I actually got honest-to-Althena, wish-I-had-a-hintbook-to-help-me stuck on is, of course, TSS...took my best friend and I days to realize that you had to enter the balloon in Iluk from behind it)

Posters from EB (the one with Hiro on the hill holding Althena's Sword, Lucia's face against the Blue Star over him, and the cast to the right), SSSC, and EBC (the ones you get by mailing in the certificate from the official guides...all three of those are gorgeous).

I also have a Taiwanese knock-off of the EB soundtrack that I got back in my young and stupid (read: collegiate) days; I need to get around to replacing that one of these days. Maybe if I sell a foot or something I can raise enough cash to buy a used Japanese one?

I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff but:

Lunar: TSS (two copies - I think the first and fourth disc arts)
Lunar: EB
Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete (1 fanart edition unopened, 3 normal versions, only two with boxes - the last is just the discs)
Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete
Lunar: Legend
Lunar: Dragon Song
Lunar TSS (import, Mega CD)
Lunar EB (import Mega CD)
Magical School LUNAR! (import obviously, Saturn)
Lunar SSS (both normal and MPEG Saturn Versions)
Lunar EB (Saturn)

Non-games:
All the LUNAR
Lunar I+II artbook (signed, from GameArts via UbiSoft for work on Lunar Legend)
Lunar SSS Newtype artbook
Some of the manga and novels
Most of the import and domestic guides (the EB and SSSC Prima guides are the only North American guide I don't have)
A few Lunar EB stickers
SSSC and EB Working Designs pins and a EB pin from Japan
Lunar snowglobe (unique)
Some EB flyers
Lots of posters (TSS, SSSC and EBC posters from the guides, a Japan Genesis poster, and I think one other)
SSSC and EBC WD t-shirts
Ghaleon puppet
All six known keychains (though the Lucia one had better days, some of the paint is worn)
EBC watch
Lunar EB kiosk demo (still hope to put up a movie of that someday on the site)
2 SSSC WD demos, one of which is unopened.
EBC WD demo
Every single soundtrack for the series, with the exception of only having the pirated SM versions of EB OST and EB Prelude (I bought them years ago out of GameCave before I knew they sold pirated crap rather than the originals)
Lunar Genesis non-release stuff (like Kiz, I have early storyboarding stuff and the like, including concept art that wasn't used, and game information documents that didn't make the final cut)

Used to have a Nall plushie as well. There's some other stuff I know I'm forgetting, but most of my Lunar stuff is in a box right now, as I'm moving in a week. There's also some stuff that Alunissage is still sending me, but I can't remember offhand what all it included.

Anyway, I have a few new things since then, I think.
I should think we all do... that last thread was started between Genesis and Dragon Song's releases. And I think we've had it at least once since then too, since the textfile I keep of my approximate collection in bbCode for just such threads as these has been updated since my first post in that thread, too. I had to update it again for this version, revealing that I had completely failed to keep meticulous records of my last purchases. :P So even though I've manually gone through some of my collection, I'm not sure this is complete, especially since checking my posters is nontrivial.

I did do a partial reorganization of my videogame collection, although I kind of ran out of steam after Lunar, Zelda, Growlanser, and Arc. Photos are here (any questions?):
http://pwrsrc.net/~charlie/080129_coll_1.JPG
http://pwrsrc.net/~charlie/080129_coll_2.JPG

Posters aren't shown, and some other stuff isn't shown either, like several shirts hanging in my closet, the copy of SSSC which is out on loan, etc. And, of course, some items are simply hidden from view there, like the two watches in boxes hiding behind the one in front, the thin items like flyers, etc. The bundle of stuff on top of the EBC boxes is phonecards and the Genesis screen cleaner. The Nalls are sitting on two more t-shirts. The black things to the left of the main Lunar shelf are mousepads. And some Arc and other WD items are mixed in, mainly in that area. Oh, and the items the, ahem, Special Memories are sitting on were supposed to be sent to G1 months ago. ^^;;;

(The list of things G1 should have from me by now includes:
EB MegaCD, with premium disc etc
TSS guides
Phonecard with Mia 4 bromide
MS/Evangelion folder
SSS double-size flyer
MS novel
Lemina novel
Vheen manga)

---

I didn't add that up. Anyone want to count for me? :P (My spreadsheet has, hm, 193 line items, but that's only very vaguely ballpark, as it includes duplicates and a few items given or sold to others, and doesn't include some of my more recent purchases, like flyers.)

---

Oh, to clarify regarding the original poster's list, I'm quite sure the "not for resale" pendant wasn't a preorder bonus; they weren't used for that. It would more likely have been an early/presskit-type version. Fabric almost certainly not silk, too. There was also only one version of the SSSC guide, so I don't know why the "mini soft-cover version with stickers and such" description. The Sega Freaks cards listed were pack-ins with the MPEG SSS game and the first pressing of the Saturn EB game; I'm not sure from the context of the list whether the MPEG game is part of that person's collection. By "standee" I assume the store counter display is meant, not the EBC pack-ins?

Geez. I love posting after you. (I'd add them if I had time.) This one will be a lot shorter. A couple of these I just got a week or two ago.

Lunar SSSC
Lunar 2 EBC
Lunar SSSC Strategy Guide
Lunar DS
Lunar I & II Art Book
Lunar TSS
Lunar TSS Strategy Guide
...
And it ends about there. I've had a couple of acquisitions from ebay (the last three), but other than that... I haven't really bought much at all. Probably better for me, until I have a well-paying job ("student" isn't) and time to enjoy what I get.

I notice you have Civ3, and Tales of Phantasia. ToP in particular is great; probably the best SNES/SF game made.

I just put all my Lunar stuff into one glass cabinet that I just got--specifically for the purpose of storing only my Lunar collection. I'll put up a picture of that later. KF

Civ 3 is actually my husband's. I'm not sure if he played it much, though.

We have the PSX ToP and the (US) GBA one also. But I think all we've done is played the very beginning of the SFC and PSX ones. Probably was using a translation patch for the SFC one, but I don't remember now.

Post by Alunissage »

Bumping this to say that today I reached a long-sought milestone: I received my 34th and final Lunar game, the Korean PC regular release. (My thanks to whoever [Gemini?] pointed out the Korean game site from which a friend of a friend was able to order it.)

This is it. Every single official release known, thus far. And, with the exception of one TSS case and manual, all complete, I think.

Last year, I got the final soundtrack, the mini-CD of Salia songs from the MS anime. I suppose that one was harder to find in the sense that I only got it because it showed up in an auction, and I probably would have missed it if someone (G1 or Kizyr) hadn't pointed it out to me, while this Korean game was bought from a web store, and is still new, to boot. But getting it required first my assistant checking the site for me and learning that it required a login which itself required a Korean social security number, then contacting the one person I knew in Korea to ask if she knew anyone who could get it for me, then her reminding her friend several times to order it, during which time she moved back to the States, then the game being mailed to her in Virginia and sent to me from there.

I think it's time to take a new disc art picture, or at least a supplement to the one I took years ago. Although actually this edition's discs are identical to the LE's discs, I think, so the only thing to show with both sets is that I in fact HAVE two sets, while every other Lunar game media I have is unique.

So, um. Yay!

Hehehe. I wouldn't hope to get all the phonecards; there are just too many of them with minor minor variants and more seem to keep popping up. I probably won't ever get all the WD Lunar merch since I expect some of it sold out before I'd ever seen the site so I don't know what might be missing... a couple hats and probably some watches and t-shirts and maybe mousepads. I do think I have every book associated with Lunar, though, unless there's some other Funato sketchbook with a Lunar drawing in it. Although I'll need to investigate this music book thing that was mentioned recently.

I suppose the specific things left for me to look for are two or three keychains, mugs, coins, the Lucia clock, the Mia resin kit, the Japanese Lucia's pendant, GA stickers, Funato's Lunar calendar, EB pin... stuff like that. Random MS stuff pops up now and again. There may be other posters and flyers. Assorted WD stuff, etc. You know... whatever's on the merchandise webpage that I don't have yet. :P

Alunissage that is one massive and impressive collection :!:

My collection is very tiny consisting only of TSS, EB, EBC (w/ pendant etc), Lunar Legend, Dragon S  and the Ghaleon Puppet which my husband devalued... That was a very sad day. The day one of my friends parents got rid of SSSC was also a very sad day.

Lunar 2: Eternal Blue: Remiena in Training! (レミーナただいま修業中!)
Magic School LUNAR! (魔法学園LUNAR!)

I have the contents of the Lunar 2: EBC box set lying around my parents' house somewhere, but that's a few hundred miles from where I live at the moment.

Thigns I want to get at some point:
The Japanese versions of the games.
The Childhood's End manga
The Eternal Blue manga
The Silver Star soundtrack
Lunatic Parade Vol. 1-2
Lunatic Festa Vol. 1-4
Lunar Songs 2
Lunar: Dragon Song
Lunar: Walking School
Magic School LUNAR! (the game)
