... and this is where I always get stuck. I draw the characters in a funny pose, and then... what? I've no idea what to put BEHIND them. Help? I'm so stuck... :/

I am coloring all your characters in MS Paint right now... for the sole purpose of sticking them onto completely inappropriate backgrounds.

No, I don't care what their colors are supposed to be, I'm coloring them how I want them

I AM EVEN NAMING THEM AND GIVING THEM A HISTORY.

More soon!

Woooow, MS Paint exploded at my coloring. Here's what I've got so far.

Duar (like Gwar) is a rebellious rockstar vampire who is searching the world for a keytar that doesn't make him look like a wanker.

Nial (Ny all) is a run away bank teller, fleeing the law because she runs with an illegal energy drink smuggling ring.

Fiora is a refugee from a war in a distant land who is actually spying on the group for The Big Bad until she realizes that siding with the crew is the only way to make things right.

Samana is bold adventurous optimist. She has been the bestest of friends with Fiora since they were young, and they are never far apart.

Duar and Nial spend a great deal of time constantly at odds with one another. As Nial's urgency to keep on the move to evade justice openly chafes Duar's desire to search each new location thoroughly. Yet, she is the only one who can cheer him up from his brooding moods. And Duar cannot help but worry about Nial's reckless behavior.

TheBigBad, not shown in this picture, weaves the music of the world to play out the story she desires. It is she who forces Fiora and Samana's nations to slaughter each other senselessly for her amusement.

I think that covers everything... I should expand on this.

MY STORY IS ALREADY BETTER THAN YOURS.

... ouch. *sigh* Ah well, a couple of friends elsewhere suggested some sort of vignette so I'll have to look into designing one (I've never tried so).

Thanks anyway.

There ya go Nobi, you'll have approximately 3.2 billion backgrounds to choose from. :)

I think colours in progress usually look a little freakish. I like the way you colour though, lots of different shades but all of them are distinct and work together.

Thanks. But sadly I am the world's slowest colorist! >> Below you'll see just how little an additional 3 hours of progress made.
