Completed a collection

Post by DragonmasterDan »

Today after dealing with some nice people on a Nintendo based forum, I made the final deals that seal up what once I receive them, will be the final 2 NES games in my collection.

I now have either in hand or on the way, all licensed US NES cartridges (loose, only about 150 manuals and 100 boxes). This is the second complete collection I've accumulated for a system.

This also does not include unlicensed games (I have nearly 40 of those). Or non-US NES cartridges (I have a few of those as well)

In any event I'm not sure how many collectors there are here or how many people have full sets of anything. But it's good to get a big one out of the way like NES.

Holy cow! Congrats! That's awesome to have every licensed Nintendo game. I'm sure it took a long time of searching and lots of investing to get every game.

They're not all in one place, I need to redo my shelving to put them all up. But I will toss in a pic of what I have displayed right now.

There's another row of NES games below that, the rest of them are in boxes. I need to clear off two other shelf sections to get them all up. I'm basically out of space right now.

Well it's a sloppy mess right now, I need to re-purpose the shelving and probably add a few more dividers to get all the NES games up.

That's a glorious collection! The condition of those NES boxes are amazing considering their age. Do you play the games, or just display them?

It's.... beautiful. It's just beautiful. Nice selection of Sega CD goodness, too.
This is either madness, or brilliance- Will Turner
It's remarkable how often those traits coincide- Captain Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl

In the case of NES, I have played (not necessarily for more than a few minutes) every single game I own to at least test. Barring a few sealed games I have.

Some games I bust out frequently, I was just playing Mega Man 1 earlier, and before that Felix the Cat. R.C. Pro Am 2, Punch Out! and quite a few others get quite a bit of play 20 years later.

Also, they're not all on display. I need to redo my shelving, I have at least 100 NES carts in a box waiting to go on the shelving. plus quite a few doubles, and most of my unlicensed NES games were taken off the shelf and are in their own separate box.

For NES I have over 700 different games counting US licensed, US unlicensed, and foreign (not to be confused with famicom carts which I have a few of. In this case I am referring to European or Australian NES carts) releases. For all systems combined I own somewhere between 2500-3000 games for around 80 different systems.

As far as unlicensed games, you wouldn't happen to have Spiritual Warfare from Wisdom Tree (same guys who did Bible Adventures), do you? KF

The Zelda knockoff, yeah I have it.

Added in edit: It looks like I'm just missing Sunday Funday and Bible Buffet from them. I have all their other NES releases.

And in case anyone is curious, the final three games arrived today. So I now have the full set in hand.
